Teaching objectives

Knowledge aims

1.Words: wasn’t, weren’t, dirty, clean.

2.Sentences: They weren’t old then. They were young. She wasn’t tall then. She was short. It wasn’t clean then. It was dirty.

Ability aims

1.Ss have a sense of the past tense when they want to say something in the past.

2.After learning it, it can improve Ss’s listening, speaking, reading and writing abilities.

Emotional aims

1.Let Ss know “Although the thousands of clean out toil, blowing sand began to the gold.”and learn to overcome their difficulties.

2.Let Ss know, “Time flies. Time and tide wait for no man.”

3.Let Ss protect our environment.

1.Ss master the key words and sentences well.

2.Ss try their best to know what the past tense is.

1.Picture 1

T: Who are they?

Ss: They are grandparents.

T: What do they look like?

Ss: They are old.

T: But look at the picture in their hands. They weren’t old then.

The past form of “are” is ______. The negative form of “were” is “weren’t”. So we should say, “They weren’t old then.” We also can say, “They were young.”

T: Listen and repeat

2.Picture 2

Look at this picture 2. The girl is _______. But when she is a baby, she wasn’t tall then. The past form of “is” is ______. The negative form of “was” is “wasn’t”. So we should say, “She wasn’t tall then.” We also can say, “She was short.”

Just like you, when you were a baby, you were short. But now you are tall. We don’t know how time flies. So we should cherish time and learn hard in order to have a bright future.

本节课以一段破茧成蝶的视频导入新课,简单直接,又成功的吸引了学生的注意力,激起学生学习的兴趣。

在课文讲授环节,通过展示图片和关键词,问题层层递进,在教授过程中,不离情感教育的渗透,让学生懂得时间的珍贵和保护环境的重要性,新课学完后,通过拍手游戏,增加律感,提高学生的学习兴趣,有助于学生记忆。在练习环节,通过Lucky strike, 来练习已学内容,同时,为了给学生写作文做铺垫,最后让学生试着说一篇文章关于自己的变化。
