Main points: New words , new patterns ,the text. Difficult points: How to describe the door in their own words. Teaching materials: Pictures, cards ,tape recorder ,piece of paper

Teaching process:

Step One：Greeting with students

Step Two：Warm up (TS free ) Talk about the weather. Say sth.about your room.

Step Three : Revision Review Activity 1 on page 24(picture showing)

Step Four : Representation(TS free talk) China sent a man into space in this spaceship. Do you know the spaceship’s name? ~Shenzhou V Who is the taikonaut in Shenzhou V ? Could you say sth. about him? ~Yang Liwei is the astronaut in Shenzhou V.

Shenzhou V flew into space in October 2003.

Yang Liwei is from Liaoning. He is very famous now. Pay attention to the door of the spaceship. Step Five : New Courses A. Listen and answer T plays the tape, Ss listen carefully and get familiar with the text. T asks Ss to again ,then try to answer these questions.(CAI showing) B.Listen and finish the flowing tasks C.Listen and repeat then read.

Step Six : Practise A.

Make sentences. *Is it a door *What colour is the door?

*Lots of people need doors.. *What material is the door? ^Wood. ^Yes,it is. ^Yellow. ^Some need them..

*What do the doors use?

^For life.

B.

Talk about doors in your own words. T lets Ss practice in groups. Ss try to retell (practicing

in groups can help the pupils without ideas to imitate others ,then try to finish this job.)

C.

Extending practice. (CAI showing) Talk about

all kinds doors..

Step Seven: Homework Write a short article about doors.
