Module6 Unit2 There is a small monster. 一、教学目标与要求:
(一)知识目标:
1、继续巩固复习身体部位的单词:nose,mouth,eyes,hands,arms,legs,feet. 2、“There be”句型的理解与运用。
(二)技能目标:
1、学生能够听懂会读本语篇,并能准确进行复述。
2、学生能够运用“There be”句型描述真实情境下存在的物体。
(三)情感目标:
1、关注到别人的情感变化,学习倾听、分享、帮助等与人相处之道。
2、能在交流、合作中体验到学习英语的乐趣。
3、能够体会美丽的校园,热爱自己的学校。
二、教学重难点:
能在真实情境中熟练运用“There be”句型。
三、课前准备:
教学课件, word cards 四、教学时间:
40分钟
五、教学过程:
Step1. Warm-up. 1. Greeting and freetalk. 2. Brain storm.(头脑风暴) Students say out the words about the numbers, body parts, animals etc. When they see the pictures, they must do the actions.
Eg. Two eyes
Ss: touch and say: eyes,eyes, eyes. Step 2. Lead-in. 1.Show a circle in the screen. Let students guess. T: Can you guess? what’ s this?
Ss: It’s a circle/ the Sun/…
T: There is a nose/two eyes/ a mouth on the face. (At the same time, show the pictures of a nose/two eyes/ a mouth in turn.) Ss: A snowman.
2. Say the chant and do the actions. 3.Make a new chant. Call one student stand up and others say the sentences the same as the chant in the text. Eg.
S1: Stand up in the front.
Ss: There are two eyes on his/her face. There is a nose on his/her face…
Step3. Presention. 1. Show the new sentences: There is… There are…on the blackboard, and teach them. 2.Show a picture of a monster, let students describe it with There is/are…. 3. Show a picture of three monsters in the text. Eg.T: What can you see? S1: There is a small monster.
S2. There are two big monsters. 4. Read the text quickly and tell me: What’s this? ------poster. T: It’s Daming’s poster. 5. Introduce poster. ( Use different posters)
6. Look at the pictures and count the numbers of hands, arms, legs and feet. Let student write the numbers on the blackboard. 7. Listen, repeat and check the answer. 8. 4 in group to read the text. Then act out in front.
Step 4. Practice and extension. 1. Four in group to make their own posters and then introduce it in front of the class. 2. Pairwork. (Activity 3) There is/are…. 3. Show the pictures of our real life. Eg. Pencilcase, desk, books, classroom …Let students say the sentences.------Our school is very beautiful, we should love our school. 4. Sing the song . Step5. Homework. 1. Read the text fluently. 2. Bring a photo of your room to class and introduce it next time.
