一、Teaching design:

(2) Ability aim: To train the students’ listening, speaking, reading and social intercourse abilities.

(2)Sentences: How many days are there in a week?

There are seven days in a week.

What are they?

They’re Sunday, Monday Tuesday We dnesday Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

二、Teaching steps:

1. Greetings.

2. W arming up: Sing the song “Days of the week”

3. Revision : Ask and answer with the drills:

How many…? What are they?

4. Presentation:

(1) To learn the new words “Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday ”by calendar. Practise in different ways.

(2) To learn the new words“Sunday and Saturday” and drills “How many days are there in a week? There are seven days in a wee k.” with the calendar watch. Practise reading the important sentences on the blackboard.

5. Activity training:

(1) Listening: Listen and read the text.

(2) Reading : Listen and repeat

Follow the teacher.

Practise in pairs.

(3) Acting :

1) To practice the new words: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday with some interesting pictures on the computer.

2) To play a missing game.

3) To play a chain game.

4) Learn the song and consolidate the knowledge we have learned.

五.Homework: 1.Copy the words and recite them.
