Step 1 Warm-up

1. Make greetings.

2. Let’s chant and do.

Step 2 Revision

1. Review words in the vocabulary.

Read the words in groups and have a revision of the words in each unit.

Step 3 Presentation

1. Read and spell.

Divide the whole class into four groups and have a spelling competition among them. Flash the word cards and have Ss read and spell the words. The group which is the fastest can get a star.

2. Think and spell.

Show different letters and have Ss think about the words beginning with the letter. The group which thinks about the most words can get a star.

Step 4 Consolidation & extension

1. Have a spelling competition.

Choose one student from each group and make them have the dictation on the blackboard. The group which writes fastest and spells the most correct words can get a star.

2. Check which group gets the most stars.
