Feeling Excited

(The First Period)

一、教学目标:

1、学习并掌握Vocabulary里的单词tired, scared, excited, upset, stayed up late, heard a noise, got a kitten, got a poor grade.

2、掌握及运用句型:

(1)I’m tired. Why? Because I stayed up late last night.

(2)Why did you stay up late? Because I watched TV.

二、教学重点、难点:

五、学情分析:本课时所学的单词较生动,学生学起来会感兴趣,但是又有一定的难度,所以学生会比较吃力。而句子方面的内容又与单词和实际生活密切联系,所以学生也会很感兴趣。

六、教学过程:

Step1: Warm up

1. Ask and answer:

T: Look at the picture. Where is the bank?

S: Turn left at the corner. It’s next to the grocery store.

T: Pardon me . Where’s the shopping mall?

S: Go straight. It’s across from the park.

2. Ask and answer in pairs

S1: Where is the ….?

S2: …….

Step2: Vocabulary

1. Show out the pictures and words on the board.

2. Write the simple from for each verb above the cards.

3. Listen to the tape and repeat. Point to each picture as you say it.

4. Play the tape and have Ss repeat each word.

5. T: (Point to the words and cards) Ss say the words.

6. Say the simple verb forms and have Ss say the corresponding past tense verbs.

Step3. Target

1. Show out the picture, listen to the tape first.

2. Act like the people of the picture:

T: I’m tired.

S: Why?

T: Because I stayed up late last night.

S: Why did you stay up late?

T: Because I watched TV.

3. Ask individual Ss to read out the sentences.

4. Play the tape a few times, pausing after each sentence for Ss to repeat.

5. Put Ss into pairs and have them practice the dialogs.

Step4. Play games

七、Homework:

1、Read the words and target.

2、Copy the vocabulary.
