单元教材分析:

本单元围绕“行路安全”这一话题,呈现了若干行路规则和安全知识,旨在引导学生树立正确过马路的安全知识。这一话题与学生的生活紧密相关,通过如何过马路的行为指南及车辆的行驶规则,重点呈现了情态动词must及其否定形式mustn’t的用法,在教学过程中联系生活实际,鼓励学生认识更多交通标识,掌握安全知识,做遵守交通规则的社会公民。

学情分析:

1. “行路安全”这一话题贴合学生的生活实际,也是非常重要的一个内容。学生对过马路的交通规则、红绿等的具体含义以及车辆的行驶规则已有一定的知识经验基础。

2. 本课所重点学习的情态动词must及其否定形式mustn’t可以结合六年级上册的Unit5,Unit6,Unit7中的can/should等情态动词来进行关于规定和规则的表达。

教学目标:

1. 能听懂、会说、会读单词safety, cross, safely, zebra crossing, pavement, look out for, easily, rule, stay

2.能听懂、会说、会读、会写单词road, must, safe, follow, light

3.能听懂、会说、会读、会写句型和日常交际用语You must…You must not…

教学过程:

Step 1 : Warming up

1.Enjoy the top 15 most beautiful roads in the world. (PPT展示全球最美道路图片,激发学生学习兴趣和热情)

T:Some of the roads are very narrow and some are long, but all of them are splendid. 2.Enjoy the beautiful and wonderful roads in our hometown Yancheng.(PPT展示家乡盐城的道路,激发与学生的共鸣)

Show pictures of Jianjun Road, Dongjin Road, Jiefang Road and the road in front of the school Liming Road.

T: We can always see a lot of cars, bikes and pedestrains on these roads. So we can say there are many busy roads in our city. How to cross them safely?

Step2: Presentation

1.Know some traffic signs: 学习单词road, pavement,zebra crossing, crossing, traffic lights等,(跟读录音,单个读,两两读)并让学生上黑板在对应交通指示旁贴上对应单词。(有助于检查学生的学习情况,同时巩固这些单词)

2.Learn the meaning of traffic lights: red(stop), yellow(wait), green(go)

3.Learn the differences between the words: must, mustn’t, should, can.

4.Judge the behaviors: if it’s wrong say mustn’t, if it’s right say must.( show some pictures about road safety rules)

T: I’m happy that you have some basic knowledge about traffic rules. Today we’ll learn more about it.

5.Story time

(1)Match the pictures with the sentences (图片和中心句进行匹配,告诉学生们图片可以帮助我们更好地理解文本)

(2)Watch and answer: What’s the title of the story?

What’s the topic sentence?

Follow the rules and stay safe on the road.

(3)Compare and fill: How can you cross the road safely? (学习单词cross) Compare two pictures: a zebra crossing / no zebra crossing

(4)Part1: Listen and fill: How to cross the road safely when there is a zebra crossing?

(5)Part 2: Read and judge

(6)Part 3: Look and say: What are the boys doing on the road?

S: They are playing on the road. He is skating on the road.

T: Are they right? What mustn’t we do on the road? Let’s read part 3 and find the answers.

Step 3: Consolidation

1.Read the whole story after the tape

2.Complete the notes on P38

3.Watch a short cartoon and teach grandma, try to act it out

4.Group work: Choose one topic to make a PSA

Step 4: Summary

We must follow the rules. Rules make the world more beautiful.
