Teaching aims Knowledge objects: (1) To make the Ss know how to ask about prices and talk about clothing. (2) To study the new words: how much, sock, T-shirt, shorts, sweater, trousers, shoe, skirt, dollar, big, small, short, long.

(3) To do some listening. Ability objects: (1) To develop the Ss’ abilities of listening, speaking, reading and writing.

(2) To train the Ss’ ability of working in pairs.

(3) To develop the Ss’ abilities of communication by learning the useful structures.

Moral objects: (1) Offer help. (2) Thank someone.

Teaching important points :

Be able to ask about prices and talk about clothing:

How much is this T-shirt? It’s seven dollars.

How much are these socks? They’re two dollars.

I like this big purple hat.

Teaching difficult points: 1. How to understand the dialogue correctly and exactly. 2. How to master How much questions. Teaching aids:

Multi-media computer, Tape recorder, school things.

Teaching Methods: 1. Communicative teaching method

Teaching Procedures:

StepI Lead-in Show a flash. And write the new words on the blackboard. Then ask the students to tell the colors and the clothes in the flash.

通过观看动画复习已学过的颜色单词。为谈论衣物做准备。

StepII. Work on 1a. 1.Show a picture of a store and ask Ss to match the words with the things in the picture.

2.Check the answers.

通过问答检查学生对单词的认读，也可以通过学生的合作学习，纠正认读中的错误。

StepIII. Presentation 1.Show some money of different countries. Explain the differences between US Dollar and China Yuan. 2. show the picture of activity 1a with pattern sentences . 3. Ask students about the prices of the clothes.

4. Work in pairs to practice the pattern sentences. 5. Ask some pairs to present their work.

通过图片和情景，学生可以很容易地掌握本课的句型。学生也能利用重点句型很容易地进行类似的对话。要让学生们注意什么时候用单数，什么时候用复数。

StepIV.Listening practice.

1.Ask some Ss to describe the pictures in 2b. 2. Listen and circle the things you hear. 3. Listen again and fill in the price tags. 4. Check the answers.

This big purple hat is five dollars.

由于前面已复习并引入了颜色和大小长短的单词，所以可以跳过2a, 直接进入2b。听力练习前先描述图片中的物品，既可以充分地发挥图片的作用，增加学生的口头练习量，又可为听力做准备，使学生可更好地完成听力练习。

StepV. Role -play the conversation 1.Talk about the picture in 2e. Introduce the people in the picture and learn the new word, woman.

2.Show two questions on the screen before listening. 3. Play the tape recorder, let students listen and imitate the dialogue.(pay attention to their pronunciation and intonation.) and then answer the questions. 4. Practice the dialogue in pairs by reading it aloud and then fill in the blanks. 5. Ask students to think it hard and act it out in correct order with a partner according to the dialogue. 6. Explain the useful expressions. 学生先观察图片并猜测对话发生的场景，以及两个人物的关系，从而导入购物的语境。通过不同任务的设置，让学生反复练习对话以达到让学生掌握常见的购物用语的目的。

StepVI. Exercise

1.

Homework:

1. Write the new word in the exercise book. 2. Make a survey to your family, then get the information about the prices(价格), the colors of their clothes(衣服).
