Make conversations between customers and waiters. Teaching objectives 1.Words:

noodles, mutton, beef, cabbage, potato, chicken, tomato, carrot, special, would, would like, bowl, size. 2. Sentences:

A: What kind of noodles would you like?

B: I’d like beef and potato noodles.

A: What size bowl of noodles would you like?

B: I’d like a large/medium/small bowl of noodles.

3. Emotional objective: Get the students know about the Chinese culture. Step1 Preparation Activity 1

Lead in. Watch and follow the video. Answer the question: What food can you see or hear in the song? Step2 Presentation& Practice Activity 1

Get the students know the food. What other food do you know? Do you know them? Learn the following words: chicken, mutton, beef, potato, lettuce, mushroom, cabbage, noodles. Activity 2

Drill. Look at the word cards and read the words. Spell the words. Activity 3

Present the noodle kinds. Egg noodles, fish noodles, beef and lettuce noodles, beef and tomato noodles, chicken and mushroom noodles, mutton and potato noodles, egg, tomato and cabbage noodles. Activity 4

Practice the conversation. A: What kind of noodles would you like? B: I’d like … noodles. Activity 5

Listening practice Listen and complete the sentences in 2b. Step3 Production Activity 1

Make a wish card.

In China, people usually have a bowl of noodles on their birthday. That means “long life”.

Please write your wish on the card. Activity 2

Make a conversation. A: What kind of noodles would you like on your birthday?

B: I’d like … noodles.

A: What size bowl would you like? B: I’d like a large bowl. What about you?

A: I’d like a …bowl of … noodles .
