Analysis of students: 1. Ss lack listening and speaking skills. 2. Ss lack communication and cooperation and tend to be independent learners. Teaching important points and difficult points:

1. Help Ss to remember the new vocabulary. 2. Help Ss to ask and answer questions about their favorite subjects and the reasons. Learning strategies: 1. Activity-based learning 2. Communicative approach Teaching aids: Multi-media, objects

Procedures: Step1 Lead-in Enjoy a short video about subjects . Purpose: To arouse Ss’ interests and help them get into the topic naturally.

Step 2 Presentation and drill 1.New words (1)Brainstorm some subject words they have known.

Step3 Practice 1. Listening (1)T:Listen to the tape and circle the subjects you hear. (2)T:Listen and match the subjects you hear with the descriptions. 2. Pair work Ss make conversations using the target language:
