Teaching aims: Ability objectives:
To train the students’ listening and speaking abilities. To teach the ss to express their favorite subject and the reasons, to talk about the class schedule and to train their abilities to arrange for their own time. . Knowledge objectives:
To make the ss master new words and the phrases.
To make the ss learn some listening strategies. Moral objectives:
To make the ss know how to reasonably arrange their time by themselves . Teaching key and difficult points:
(1)The
listening strategies (2) the abilities of asking others’ favorite subjects and the reasons (3) talking about the arrangement of a week.
Teaching methods:
Task-based teaching method, reading. Teaching aids: Multi-media computer.
Teaching procedures: Step1.
Greetings.
T:
Good morning, boys and girls!How are you today? Are you happy today? I'm really happy to have this class with you. And this is our first class, I hope, everybody will do a good job, OK? So, there’s a PK between boys and girls. Do you know PK? If you did well, you can get a prize. Boys and girls, are you ready? Step 2. Lead in T: First,show a chant for students and let them chant together.
And then let students revise the new words of subjects, days and months.
Present some new words like busy, free, difficult…
Step 2. Before listening T: 1. Present the using of “ on +星期几” and show the sentence structure T; When is your art class? Ss: It’s on Monday. 2. Present other days in a week. Show some pictures of calendar. Teach ss Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday.
Ss read after the teacher and remember the days in a week.
3. Present some new adjectives like busy, free, cool… Show some pictures and teach the new words. Ss read the words after the teacher
