Presentation The teacher shows the class new words and some pictures of school things and ask some questions about them: T: What’s this in English？Is it a key? A:No, it isn’t. T:Is it a ruler? A:Yes, it is. Get them to ask and answer the question one by one. Step 3.Listening 1) Turn to page S7, tell students to listen to the tape and number the pictures they hear in 3a 2)Play the recording again and complete the words under the pictures in 3a 3)check the answers with the class Step 4. Pair work

Ask students to practice the conversation using the things in the picture. A:What’s this in English？
