Unit 1 The lion and the mouse

【单元简析】

1.本单元的课文仍旧是一个经典故事,改编自著名的寓言故事《狮子和老鼠》。故事以拟人的手法呈现了两个强弱分明的动物形象,表达了两个寓意:一是小人物也可以发挥大作用;二是人人都需要朋友,即使他很强大。小学阶段的高年级学生已经具备了较为独立自主的思考和判断能力,在教学过程中,教师可以适时地引导学生发挥想象力,表达自己对“朋友”的定义和见解,明白“尺有所短,寸有所长”的道理,感受朋友间相互帮助的美好情感。

2.本单元课文采用一般过去时叙述故事,在课文教学的最后巩固阶段,教师可以和学生一起复习六年级上册一般过去时的语法知识。

3.本单元的重点教学内容是词汇,包括形容词和由形容词转换过来的副词。教师可以和学生总结归纳以前学过的形容词,并用对比的方法呈现副词的构成以有形容词和副词的用法。

4.本单元的话题和词汇都与动物相关,教师可以在课前准备一些动物的图片,在课堂上和学生分享,并要求他们描述。

Step 1 Warming up and revision

1.描述人物,复习形容词。

T: Can you say something about me?

S1: You are tall.

S2: You are beautiful.

S3: Your nose is small.

2. Review the adjectives.

T: T all, thin, beautiful…are all adjectives. (形容词) Let’s play a game of adjectives. T: big Ss: small

同法复习其他形容词:

long---short, tall---short, cold---hot, new---old, fast---slow, fat----thin, white---black. Step 2 Presentation

1.小组活动,描述狮子和老鼠

T: Are you strong? Who is strong? Do you know some strong animals? What about these two animals?

在黑板上贴出狮子和老鼠的图片。引导学生结合板书和图片描述狮子和老鼠的外貌。

自学试着使用下列句子进行描述

互学小组长主持,小组成员按顺序进行描述。

展学选择其中一个小组上台进行描述,其他小组补充。
