Part C Story time 学习目标：

1.

能够理解故事内容，复习巩固单元核心句型what can you do? Can you …?能够理解和阅读再构文本，能结伴模仿朗读或表演故事。

2.

能够利用图画等非语言信息理解主题，能积极运用英语进行表达和交流，能够积极与他人合作，共同完成学习任务。

3.

通过故事学习培养学生学习英语的兴趣，培养丰富的想象力以及乐于参加各种英语实践活动的信心和能力。

课前准备：多媒体课件，snake/rat头套各一个

学习过程：

1. Greeting.

2. Free talk: True or false T: Look at these pictures. Who is this? Ss: You. T: Yes. And here is some information. They are about my ability. Some are true. Some are false.

1. I can sing well. ( F ) （T: I like singing, but I can’t sing very well.）

2. I can swim.

( F ) (T: I’m scared of water. 表情So don’t throw me into the water, please. 动作) 3. I can draw cartoon pictures. ( T )

( T ) (T走到一男生面前，摆出功夫架势，说：

T: I can’t write a story. But I like stories. I can tell stories. Today I bring you an interesting story. It’s about two animals. Guess: what animals are they?

Ss: …

T: Sorry. Another/try again. (Ss说正确后或者猜了几次都失败后，T在Bb画出来并教读。Snake/rat, They are near the lake.并画出。) 点击ppt出示故事的全部图片，引导学生猜测：T: please guess. Are they friends? Are they playing near the lake? Does the rat want to swim with the snake? Please read the story quickly and check if you guess right.

4. While-reading (1) First reading. (Skimming) T: Which choice is right? A ,B or C (点击ppt出示问题和答案选项) please open your book and turn to page 45. Read the story quickly and get the answer. If you get the answer, raise your hand. Check the answer.(C) T: How do you know the answer? Ss: Pic1. (2)Second reading. (Scanning) （出示上一个答案后，点击ppt）

(PPT—Pic 2)T: The snake catches the rat... The rat is in danger. At that time, what does the rat do?(点击ppt) Guess? (点击ppt)Maybe he ______（让学生猜，如猜不出来，T继续说）If some bad guy catches you, what will you do or say? How about the rat? Maybe he cries. He begs. Or maybe he does some kungfu and fights with the snake. Maybe he shouts help. Do you think so? Let’s listen. What does the rat do or say? 播放MP3, Ss 听一遍后尝试复述rat 的话。T边听边在rat头上画出说话的气泡，边说The rat says “wait a minute. I can do things for you.”并板书句子I can do things for you. 点击ppt，并问What can the rat do for the snake? (再点击ppt，出示故事和问题) T：Please read this story again, and find out the answer to the question: what can the rat do? (3) Ss 说出what can the rat do?的答案，T顺势进入问题How can the rat do?并解决。

Sa: The rat can sing. T: (在Bb板书sing并问Ss)Do you agree? How do you know that? In which picture can you find? Ss: Picture3. T点击ppt链接，出示picture3，圈出sing，当学生说出Can you

? Yes.时，教师就板书Can you sing? Yes. 并问学生：can you read the sentence? 同法问Sb，What else can the rat do? 引出Picture4/并板书dance,和Yes 听录音，Ss repeat 出来。

T问Ss：

Can the rat do anything else? Sc: he can swim.

T: Really? Can the rat swim? I don’t think so. Because in picture5(点击ppt), the rat says “No. Don’t throw me into the lake, please.” I think the rat can’t swim. How do you know the rat can swim? From which picture can you find that?

Sc: Picture6.

T: then let’s have a look. (点击ppt) Ah! Yes, it really can swim(板书). But why does he say No(板书) to the snake? 引导学生说出the rat wants the snake to throw him into the lake so he can go away. The rat lies to (板书) the snake. And the snake believes(板书) the rat and throws him into the lake. T: So I think you can answer this question: How can the rat go away?（点击ppt）

T边板书”Can you”

边说：when the snake asks “can you sing?”, the rat says Yes；

when he asks “can you dance?”, the rat says Yes，when he asks “can you swim?”, the rat says No(指板书，点击ppt) 示意学生说出空白处”lies to”和“believes”. T: Now let’s repeat the sentences in Pic5 and Pic6 together. 教读throw。

5. After-reading

(1)Read aloud

a. Watch the video once. T: Ok. Let’s watch the video and go through the story. b. 看文本，T指导连读

c. Ss 看文本齐读一遍。

d. Ss 看课本自己朗读一遍

e. T vs Ss role reading（T点击ppt，说: I love this story. I want to act it out. I choose C. I like C. it’s very interesting. I’m the snake. Who wants to be the rat? —Pic5& Pic6）T----Sa f.

T: Anyone chooses B? who wants to choose B? 找另一个也选B的人跟他一起演。

g. T点击ppt，Pair work to choose A, B or C and role play: practice----show(T: now, role-play the story with your partners. Tips for you. )

(2)Open question

T: (点击ppt出示Pic6)At the end, the snake is angry. Why is he so angry? 让个别学生回答，再出示答案。

T：So what do you think of the rat and the snake in this story? (点击ppt) what’s the rat like? What’s the snake like? Choose the words you like from the word bank for the rat and the snake. And why do you choose the words? You can say: I think the rat is _____. Because ________.

(3)Rewrite the ending

T: In the end of this story, the rat lies to the silly snake and goes away. But if the rat met a smart snake(点击ppt)，when he says “No. don’t throw me into the lake, please”, what will the smart snake say. Will he believes the rat, too？（点击ppt）Discuss in your group and think

what will the smart snake and the rat say? Give a new ending for the rat and the smart snake.看学生反应，如果学生能说就先说，不能说时，就直接点击出示供选择的句子。T: Here are some sentences. You may think by yourself or use sentences in the box to make the new dialogue. Discuss, choose and make your dialogues and role-play it.

New ending show.学生表演之前，先问：your new ending for the story is: At last, A. the rat goes away. B. the snake eats the rat.

Ss choose and act. 6. Summary and moral education

T: today we enjoy the interesting story. The snake catches the rat. the rat lies to the snake and goes away in the end. Can you give a proper name for the story?(板书画______提示Ss给故事取名)。Ss give the name, T板书上去。

T：You can choose a name and write on your book. Children, I like all the names for the story. We know the story is about a smart rat and a silly snake. The rat uses his wisdom(点击ppt). He lies to the snake and goes away at the end. I don’t think lying is a good behavior. Do you agree? But when you’re in danger, lying is necessary, sometimes it can save your life. So wisdom is important. （点击ppt，德育）For wisdom is your best weapon when you’re in danger. Do you agree? 7. Homework

T: Homework today. Level A role-play the story. Level B Retell the

story. Level C. Make a story about another two animals. You can choose one level to finish.
