Lesson 5 What do you do? ——Let’s talk (科学普及出版社五年级下册)

What do you do? --Let’s talk 一.教学目标 1.知识目标:

在let’s learn的基础上,学习一些新的职业名词和工作地点。并会灵活应用到询问工作及工作地点的句式中去。

2.能力目标:

能运用所学知识进行简单的日常交流,提高学生运用英语进行表达的能力。

3.情感目标:

引导学生体会每一种工作都不容易,但是我们只要拥有积极的人生态度,做好当下的工作,热爱生活,就能从工作中发现乐趣,实现自己的价值。

二.重点难点

(1)interesting一词比较长,发音不易掌握。

(2)区别介词in和on的用法,如in a school,on a farm. 三.学情分析

本节课的教学对象是五年级的学生,对新鲜事物敏感,有强烈的求知欲和好奇心。词汇量有限,具备一定的听读能力,但口语、书写能力有待提高。到了五年级要有意识地渗透读、写技能,学会用简单的英语口头进行交流。

四.解决措施:在课堂上主要运用多媒体展示及对话练习的学习方式,通过游戏对话,小组合作等形式,充分激发学生学习兴趣,调动起对话练习的积极性,发挥出学生的主体作用,借助多媒体等技术手段,提高课堂效率,做到师生互动、生生互动,使学生牢固掌握知识。

五.教学过程

1.Greetings and warming up (1)Greetings:Good morning my dear boys and girls.How are you today? (2)Warming up:Today we will learn Lesson 5 What do you do?(板书课题。)Before our class please look at the screen,here is a song,please listen to the song carefully and then answer my question. “What does she do?What’s the girl’s job?”Yes,she is a teacher.(设计意图:互相问候之后,一起听了首《What do you do》的歌曲,既起到了热身的目的,也为后面复习职业和工作地点做好了铺垫。)

(3)Review:Teacher is a kind of job,let’s review other jobs.Look at the cards in my hand.Who is the first one,I’ll give you the card.You four please come here,let’s play the chain game.the first one please ask the second one about what do you do and where do you work.The second one please answer and ask the third one,and go on.(设计意图:复习let’s learn中学过的职业,并把单词卡片发到学生手中,拿到卡片的学生在台前站成一排进行锁链游戏,复习工作地点的单词以及句型:What do you do?I am... Where do you work? I work in a ...。)Now let’s review together.(板书出重点句型。) 2.Presentation and practise:Now here is a picture,what can you see in the picture?Yes,green trees,some people,look at the people,Who are they?They are farmers.How to spell farmer?(板书)She is a farmer,she is

a farmer too.They are farmers.What are they doing?They are working.They are cutting wheats.Where do they work?They work in a school?No,they work in a farm?No,we say they work “on a farm”.farm,farm.How to spell farm?(板书)farmer,faremer,What do you do?I am a farmer.farm,farm.Where do you work?I work on a farm.(设计意图:通过观察农民收麦子的图片回答一些问题,引出farmer和on a farm。并在原有句型中进行替换练习。) Let’s look at some pictures about farmers’work,so what do you think about farmers’work?Is their work easy?No,the farmers’work is not easy.easy,easy,not easy,not easy(板书)And who’s work is not easy either?Yes,the doctors’work is not easy,the cleaners’work is not easy...And pupils’work is not easy,you have so much homework to do,right?I think everyone’s work is not easy,but no matter what kind of job you do,we should learn to cherish the present,love the life,be positive and realize your value.(设计意图:通过观察现实中农民辛苦劳作的图片,让学生们知晓农民的工作不容易,并让大家说说还有什么职业不容易,帮助孩子们体会到任何工作都不容易,但无论从事什么职业,都应该学会珍惜当下,热爱生活,积极上进,实现自己的人生价值。) Now let’s listen to the audio,turn to page 26,let’s follow the audio,now I read the girl,you read the farmer,then exchange.(设计意图:听课文第一段的录音、跟读、分角色朗读,能熟练流利读出第一段内容。) Now please look at this picture,who is he?Yes,he is a policeman.policeman,policeman.(板书)Where is the policeman?Yes,he is in a street.(板书)What do you do?Where do you work?(用policeman和street去替换练习。) Look at this video.I think it’s very funny,the policeman’s work is interesting,yes?How to spell interesting?Interesting,interesting.(板书)The policeman’s work is interesting.Can you make some new sentences about interesting?Yes,he is an interesting boy.Play computer games is interesting.This book is interesting....(设计意图:通过图片引出警察这个职业,以及工作地点,并出示交警指挥交通的视频,引出The policeman’s work is interesting.并能用interesting造句练习。) Now let’s look at some pictures.The doctors’work is urgent,but he thinks his work is interesting,because he likes his work.The workes’work is hard,but he thinks his work is interesting,because he likes his work.The scientists’work is busy,but he thinks his work is interesting,because he likes his work.The astronauts’work is dangerous,but she thinks her work is interesting,because she likes her work very much.The teachers have so much work to do,I am a teacher too,but I think my work is interesting,because I like my work very much.So I think,no matter how boring、how busy、how hard the work is,if you you have a positive attitude,love your work,the work will be interesting.(设计意图:通过介绍一些职业,比如医生的工作很紧张,但他爱自己的工作认为工作很有乐趣;工人工作很艰苦,但他爱自己的工作认为自己的工作很有趣;科学家工作很忙,但他爱自己的工作,认为自己的工作很有价值;航天员工作充满危险

4.Extension Now everyone please look at my Time Machine.It can take us to 20years later,so please imagine,what do you do and where do you work now?Please make a new dialogue with your partners and then act it out.I believe everyone has your own dream,but dream is that shore,reality is that on this shore,and the action is the bridge.(设计意图:伴随着时光机,我们来到了20年后,让同学们想象一下,和搭档讨论一下二十年后自己的工作和工作地点。并谈谈自己的工作怎么样。帮助学生们树立一下自己的目标,并让大家体会到梦想要变为现实必须通过自己的实际行动。)

5.Homework (1)Practise the dialogue with your partners after class. (2)Make a survey about your parents’ or relatives’ work. (设计意图:让学生们在熟练对话的基础上,向自己的父母或亲戚做一个调查,将所学知识用在生活中。)
