1教学目标
Aims on the knowledge :To master the five –skill words “young, old, beautiful, thin clever”;To understand and speak the sentence pattern” Is she\he …? Yes, she he is.”And use the sentence in real situations.
Aims on the abilities: To develop the abilities of listening and speaking; To train the abilities of communication.
Aims on the emotion: To foster consciousness of good co-operation and proper competition.

本课的知识围绕着人物,通过学生熟悉的人物来学习,相信学生们会很轻松的学习本课知识。创设相应的情景教学课堂学习效果会更好。

活动2【讲授】
Presentation
1. Show a picture of an old man , then the teacher asks: “Is he old ?”Make Ss understand “old” and help them answer “Yes, he is.” 2. Teach Ss to read the sentence” Is he old?”“Yes, he is.” in a right tone. then say:“Is he young?”(Help Ss to understand “young”. Ss : “No ,he isn’t.
3. Find a lovely girl then say: “Look, she is a beautiful girl .She is thin.”
4. Ss read after Teacher and spell the words in different ways.
5. Practice reading with “Low-loud Voice” (If the teacher reads in a low voice, Ss are asked to read in a loud voice, and if the teacher reads a word in a loud voice, Ss read in a low voice.)
6. The teacher points to a certain girl, asking: What’s her name? Ss: She is… T: Is she thin\young\old \tall\beautiful? Ss: Yes, she is./No, she isn’t
7.T plays PPT, showing the picture of Helen(Or shows the card with the picture of Helen) T:I have a new friend,What’s her name? Ss:Helen T:Where is she from? Ss:She is from the UK. T: Is she tall? Ss: Yes, she is.
8. Listen, follow and imitate.
9. Study in groups and report.
10. Do the part of “Game time”. Rules : 1)Make out “ Who is my friend?” by asking “Is she/he…?”
活动3【练习】Consolidation
1.Game:Look at my mouth Rules: T reads a word silently .Ss are asked to read out the words just by watching the T’s mouth.
2. The teacher asks the Ss to read and act the dialogue in different characters.
3. Make a building exercise.
4. Do some exercises on exercise book.
活动4【测试】
Summary
1. Ask several Ss to sum up what we have learnt today.
