本单元学习一般过去时的句型，并能用一般过去时介绍自己及他人的生活、活动等状况。在五年级第一学期时，学生已学习过一般过去时，也做过一些操练，但有些学生对于一般过去时的句型和过去时的单词还不够熟练。因此，在本单元教学中，结合课内外的语言材料，着重解决这个问题。

本单元Grand Theatre中的语言材料是围绕Jenny的生日及举行派对一条主线进行描述，通过听说和阅读，让学生学会如何描述过去的某个活动。本单元重点词汇是：guest arrive in \ at parcel rack disc blow around stop教师可以把这些零碎的词以一个主线展开进行教学，这样既能使单词教学变得有序，又能激发学生学习的兴趣。

对学生来说，还刚刚正式接触音标学习，在训练时教师可归纳一些简单的音节让学生操练。

本课的主题是生日派对，这是一个学生非常喜爱的话题，而且他们也积累了许多跟这个主题有关的词汇和句子。因此本单元的教学应该充满了趣味，我们教师可以给学生提供与此主题有关的图片、情境等，这样也能打开学生的思维，使他们有话可说。能提高描述活动的能力。

一、教育目标：陶冶学生情操，培养学生描述能力。

二、知识目标：

（一）基础目标：

1、学习本单元单词：guest arrive in \ at parcel rack disc blow around stop

2、掌握一般过去时, 一般现在时的句型结构及其功能。

3、听说和阅读理解Grand Theatre 中的语言材料，并能根据主话题写6~8句。

4、掌握元音音标

5、朗读Rhyme，语音、语调、节奏基本正确。

Words 本课的词语大多和生日聚会有关，因此我以短文的形式把整课的词语融合在一起教学，本课的arrive in 和arrive at的区别是重点也是难点.

对于生日聚会学生不陌生，而且也会很感兴趣，所以学生学习的情绪应该很高涨。本课的单词rack

parcel

disc较陌生，

blow around stop上学期就学过花的时间可以少一些。

基础目标：

1、听懂、理解、拼读、默写本课单词、词组：rack arrive in \ at parcel rack disc blow around stop 2、能用以上单词组词造句，语法基本正确。

发展目标：

1、能根据国际音标读出单词。

2、能阅读理解单词在句子中的作用。
