Unit 4 Where is my car? Lesson 1 Teaching aims: 1.

Be able to listen, say, read and write the words: desk, chair, on, under and in. 2.

Learn the sentences:

--Where is the ruler?

--It’s under the chair!

3. Students can use the new words and sentences as flexible as possible in our daily life.

To help the students develop their interests in learning English. In the meantime , cultivate their team spirit and their confidence . Teaching focus & Difficult Points: Teaching focus: Students can understand and use the three new words--on, under and in. Difficult Points: Students can use the new sentences in their daily life as flexible as possible. Teaching Steps: Step 1: Warm-up and lead-in Free talk.

After daily greetings, introduce the new friend Peppa Pig. Peppa Pig is very naughty and she wants to play the game hide-and-seek with you. Put Peppa Pig in different positions, ask the students to find where she is, then lead in the study of new lesson.

Step 2: Presentation 1. Make full use of the material objects to teach the words-- desk and chair. T: Boys and girls, look! What’s this?

S: A desk. Teach the word desk. Play the game high and low voice to strengthen the impression. And use the same way to teach the word chair. 2. With the help of the doll Peppa Pig, teach the new words--on, under and in. Put the doll Peppa Pig on the desk. T: Where is Peppa Pig now? S: It’s on the desk.

Teach the word on. Play the game magic fingers to enhance the impression. Put the doll Peppa Pig under the desk. T: Where is Peppa Pig now? S: It’s under the desk.

Teach the word under. Sing a song to deepen the impression. Put the doll Peppa Pig in the bag. T: Where is Peppa Pig now? S: It’s in the bag. Teach the word in.

Instruct the students to read the words and correct the mistakes . 4.

With the help of PPT to practise these words on/ under/in, then present the new sentences. 5.

Listen to the tape and follow it. 6.

Listen to the tape again and imitate it. Step 3: Consolidation and extension

1. Golden eyes: Present a picture, let the students observe carefully and use learned knowledge to make sentences. 2. Let’s do

①Show a picture and let the students know the sentence: put …on / under / in…

②Listen to the tape and do actions together.

3. Emotional education Show the picture of Peppa Pig’s bedroom, and let the students know we should try our best to be independent. We’d better tidy up the things and put them in order.
