Together with the modernest advances in science and technology, the news that Dolly had been born was announced in 1997.

However, Dolly’s death raised many opinions about cloning. Personally, I would like to agree that cloning may do no good to our human beings. Firstly, seeing Dolly, we may think that cloning animals can easily develop a disease. They can’t live long. Secondly, we can’t clone animals that have been extinct longer than 10000 years, even if the DNA of dinosaurs could survive this long. Thirdly, based on what we know now, human cloning is just a matter of time but the assumption that human clones have already been born hasn’t been proved yet.

In one word, personally, the chances of cloning animals and cloning human beings living on the earth naturally are merely a dream.

Human Cloning Is Beneficial

For the past few years there has

been heated discussion on the topic of cloning

human beings. From my viewpoint, human cloning can bring about more good

than harm to society.

First of all, cloning a human being

can give childless people an opportunity of having a child. Although the couple could adopt one, they might want a baby of their own. Secondly, if we were allowed to clone humans, then the knowledge of great

thinkers such as Einstein would never be lost. Last but not the least, with cloning, the people who are killed in murders, or car accidents could be brought back to life. They would be given the chance to live again. And if someone loses his leg in an accident, then the leg could be cloned and he could walk again.

Taking all these factors into consideration, we may reach the conclusion that human cloning will only do more good than harm if we human beings use it for good.

Nowadays, with the rapid development of technology, more and more plants and animals are successfully cloned by scientists, and as time goes by, human cloning should not be out of question. Recently, whether human beings should be cloned or not brings a heated debate to the public.

Different from people who are in favor of human cloning, I am opposed to this idea for the reason as follows. First of all, when the technology of human cloning is widely used, the population will increase speedily. Therefore, not only will the population supervision be in a mess, but also the problems related to the population pressure will become worse and worse. What’s more, cloning, especially cloning for illegal ways is probably to raise safeIf scientists who have a good command of human cloning cooperate with criminals who want to clone themselves and other innocent people, the criminals will force the cloning people to do bad things. As a result, the security of societies will be threatened. On top of that, it’s also unfair for cloning people to be controlled by criminals. Last but not least, what’s makes our world colorful and attractive is diversity. Human cloning will destroy both genetic diversity and biological diversity. It goes without saying that our world will become simple and boring.

Taking all those factors into consideration, we reach the conclusion that we should not clone human beings. Cloning is a double-edged sword. Only when we use it in a proper way can we gain the benefits it brings to us.
