I．教材和学情分析

新高考模式下“读后续写”对于教师来说是一项具有挑战性的教学新课题。学生何时开始接触“读后写作”？如何从课本中慢慢体会续写的奥秘？如何使学生在有限的时间里读懂文本，从而在已给定的开头语下切入主题的完成读后续写任务？这些都是教师长期以来需要攻克的难题。“读后续写”打破学生在传统写作模式中死记硬背固定短语，万能句型的前提下，让学生发散思维展开想象从而扩展文章。必修一Module1 Reading属记叙类文章最适合续写的展开，浅显易懂且最易让刚刚迈入高中的学生们对此篇文章产生共鸣，因此我大胆尝试，目的让学生对“读后续写”的要求、格式、写作方法有个初步了解。最重要的是能在学习课本的同时锻炼学生续写和概要写作的能力培养。从而在以后的学习中慢慢深入驾轻就熟写出此类文章，逐渐消除学生对此类文章的抵触心理。

Teaching procedures Step1. Lead-in

Show a video to arouse students’ interest and say something about their school life. Q1.Where is it?

Q2. What does it show? Q3. What is your impression of our school life? Purpose: Arouse students’ interest in this class. Step2. Review the passage 1.

Individual work: Look through the passage and answer the questions. Q1. What does the author feel for his new high school life? Q2. What is the author’s attitude towards his English teacher?

Q3. What about the students in this new class? 2. Group work: Draw the structure of the whole passage. From which aspects does Li Kang introduce his high school life?

3. Teacher gives some suggestions for continuous writing 1. Pay attention to the basic information in the passage-when, where, who, what (how, why...). 2. Understand the structure of the passage. 3. The last paragraph you should know well. 4. Look though two given opening sentences (开头语）carefully. 5. When you make up a story, there are a lot of possibilities. Remember the result

must be positive and come to the point(切题）. Purpose：Students can have a better understanding of this passage, which set a stage for continuous writing.

Step3. Discussion

1.

Group work: According to the structure of the passage, teacher asks students if we want to develop this passage, what should we do?

Purpose:

Let students express their different ideas to enrich this passage and some advice given by the teacher. 2.

Group work: Two opening sentences are given by the teacher. Students discuss the possibilities of development of this passage in groups, and then try to express their different ideas to continue the plot. At last the teacher does a summary.

Purpose:

Share the ideas with the whole class and at last make sure some feasible plans.

Step4.Writing 1. According to some feasible possibilities, students try to enrich the passage, which raises the surface things to a higher level: fine qualities high school students should have.

2. Present students’ writing.

3. Present the model essay. Model essay：

At home, I should finish my homework at first. However, some new classmates invited me to a welcome party. After a hesitation, I joined in them. To my surprise, everybody at the party greeted me warmly. It is the best time I’ve ever had. With the time going by, the party was over. We said goodbye to each other. On arriving home, I suddenly realized that my homework wasn’t done. It was 10 o’clock. Tired as I was, I made efforts to finish it.

After hearing applause, I feel like crying on the platform. In my English class, Ms. Shen asked me to share my writing with others. But I was too nervous to read it fluently, which made me disappointed and ashamed. At this moment, instead of laughs, the applause like sunlight warmed my heart. I knew I came into a big family which was filled with love. According to this experience, as a high student, we should be hardworking, confident and face challenges bravely.

Purpose: Let students know how to write continuous writing better. Step5. Homework:

Recite this model essay. Continue to complete or polish the composition with 150 words.
