教学背景分析：

学情分析

我校招收的高一学生经过初中三年的英语学习，掌握了一定的语言知识，获得了一定的学习能力，但由于学生大部分都来自农村乡镇中学，他们的英语学习基础相对较薄弱，而且阅读能力较差，知识面也较窄，仅仅局限于课本上的知识。面对这一实际情况，我认为阅读策略的培养与训练是克服学生在高中阶段阅读心理障碍的有效办法。让人欣慰的是高一学生有着强烈的好奇心和求知欲，因此我们有必要在高一年级加强学生基础知识的掌握与阅读能力的培养与训练。我不仅在课堂上通过设计一系列活动来培养学生正确的阅读策略的能力，而且充分利用与教材相配套的课外读本，让学生在课后也能积极进行阅读。

教材分析：

本单元以Tomorrow’s world为话题，让学生有充足的机会谈论对未知世界的理解，激发他们对本课主题的兴趣，从而为阅读作好准备。本课时是本单元的第一课时，这是一堂阅读课，在阅读过程中，学生将接触到一篇有关RealCine的商务提案，以此来升华他们对未知世界的理解。同时，掌握对商务提案类文章的阅读策略。Lead--in部分是Reading的热身活动。以一段视频开始，奠定欢快的气氛，，引导学生谈论相关主题。然后，用What’s VR这一问题引起他们对本课的阅读欲望，这一活动环节起到了承上启下的作用。Presentation and Consolidation部分设计的练习，既能考查学生对文章的理解，又能培养学生客观分析问题的能力，同时提高英语表达能力。

Teaching objects:

1. To learn some information about how a virtual reality product work, why it’s better than a film, and how it can be used in the other ways.

Teaching procedures:

Step 1

Lead-in (5-6minutes)

Show several extras from the film Avatar to students and ask them the following questions: (1)

Do you know what film it is? (2)

Do you like it？

(3)

Do you feel it exciting if you are actually in the film? Why?

Answers (Students’ answer) Tell students that there is a product that can realize their dreams, the name of which is RealCine, and that they will learn about RealCine in this lesson. 【设计说明】由于课文中所提到的RealCine在现实生活中还不存在，因此学生较难对这一概念产生直观感受。从学生熟悉的电影片段出发，用两个问题层层递进，最终引出RealCine这一概念，可以激发学生的学习兴趣。

教学总结和反思

1. 本节课通过多媒体设备进行辅助教学，增大了课堂容量，能帮助教师形式多样化地完成了教学任务，同时丰富多彩的课件内容会使得学生的听、说、读、写能力都得到训练提高并能大大激发他们的学习兴趣。教学活动中的略读和精读两项任务使得学生的阅读技能得以训练，学生通过阅读策略的学习也会对英语电视访谈的格式有所了解。小组讨论这一活动将会让学生品尝到收获的喜悦和合作的愉悦。

2. 本节课需要注意的是如何面向全体，引导每一个学生积极主动地学习。在小组讨论活动Group work中，基础薄弱的同学会不敢张口，针对这一情况，教师要适时加以引导其利用阅读中所学知识先从浅层次去理解和表达，从而人人都有了开口锻炼的机会。
