IV. Procedure: Step 1 Lead-in 1. Show the video of the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games in 2008.

One possible version: The Chinese martial art(Wushu), also known as Kungfu, has a long history, which has a great effect on the Chinese culture. Wushu is very popular with the Chinese. It especially appeals to young people. Because Wushu is intended to build up one’s health and defend oneself.

Wushu is becoming more and more popular in the world. Film stars like Bruce Lee, Li Lianjie and Jackie Chan have made great contributions to the spread of Wushu around the world. It is reported that Wushu is practised in over 100 countries in the world.

It is likely that Wushu will get into the Olympic Games. It is good news for

wushu fans.
