2.To master the key words and structures.

Teaching Difficulties:

1.To enable the students to use the new words and phrases to express their ideas in daily life when they want to know the time .

Pair work, group work, and task-based teaching method.

Teaching Procedures:

S tep 1: Greeting and warming-up

Sing a song << Ten little Indian boys>>.

Step 2: Lead-in

1.Count the numbers.( T shows the cards)

2.Guessing game. A clock.

Step 3: New lesson

1.Show 4 clocks, to teach “What time is it ? It’s……”

Clock1 6:30, T ask Ss answer.

Clock2 7:10, Ss ask T answer.

Clock3 12:25, Boys ask Girls answer.

Clock4 5:45, Group A ask, and Group B answer.

2.Practise: T will show some time, and ask Ss to answer them.

3.T draw a picture, then teach the new word “breakfast”. And learn the sentence “It’s time for breakfast.”

4.To teach the words: school, lunch, supper. (T draw some pictures)

5.Let’s chant together.

Step 4: Extension

1.Teacher is mum, and a boy is son. Practise “L isten and say”.

2.Group work, then have a show .

3.T:Time is money , so we mustn’t waste time. The food is delicious, but you can’t eat too much. Please keep healthy!
