Teaching aims：

1. Students can read and understand these new words: door, window , blackboard , bird, and they can identify the physical.

2. Learn to understand and use these sentences: sit down , stand up,

point to … (give the orders and carry out the orders)

3.Play games to improve students’ interests of learning English and make them concentrate on class. Have a competition in groups and reward the winner. Teaching key points：

Students can read and understand these new words correctly: point, door, window, blackboard, bird., and they can identify the physical.

Practice “sit down, stand up, point to … ”(give the orders and carry out the orders)

Teaching difficult points：

Students can speak out these target languages correctly by themselves. The pronunciation of “blackboard” is a little difficult for them. Teaching aids:

Word cards of door , window , blackboard, bird, tweet, point to, the, stand

up，sit down. Pictures, CD-ROM, multimedia courseware, gifts.

Teaching procedures：

Step 1: Greeting and Sing a song T: Good morning, boys and girls!

Ss: Good morning, Kelly! T: How are you?

Ss: I’m fine, thank you. And how are you? T: I’m fine, too. Thank you. Sit down, please.

Ss: Thank you. Next, ask Ss to look at screen: “If you try, a pig can fly. ”(如果你试一试，一切皆有可能。) Encourage Ss to be full of confidence in class. T: I divide you into four groups, you can get some marks for your group if you do well in class. We will have a competition among the four groups. At last, the winner can get some gifts. Then, let’s sing a song GOOD MORNING, SAM to relax.

Step 2: Revision

Review the target languages they learnt last class. A: What’s your name?

B: I’m ……

The teacher communicates with several Ss: T: Hi/ Hello/ Good morning. What’s your name?

S1: I’m……

T: How are you?

S1: I’m fine, thank you. And how are you? T: I’m fine, too. Thank you. Sit down, please.

S1: Thank you. (有的学生得到了老师事先发给他们的英语书上的人物头像图片e.g: Sam, Amy, Lingling, Daming ) Then, look at screen, show the four words on it: hello, hi, I, you. Ask

them to read together. Step 3: Lead in T: 同学们，你们知道吗？不仅我们在学习英语，就连小熊猫也在学习英语，它学的什么呢？让我们一起来看一看吧。

Step 4: Presentation Activity One: Listen and chant. Play the CD-ROM, ask them to listen carefully. Then, read sentence to

follow the T together. T: We can find the new words from activity 1. Show “point to”, read four times. Then let Ss guess the meaning----“指向。。。”

Show “hi, hello, I, you” on the screen, use the target language to practice “Point to “hi”……”(一边跟说老师发出的命令，一边做动作。) Step 5: Text learning Show the pictures about Amy, Sam, Lingling, Daming and Ms Smart on PPT.

T: 这些小朋友也像我们一样正在教室里上英语课呢！他们的教室里来了一位不速之客，是谁呢？让我们一起去瞧一瞧吧！

Activity 2: Listen, point and find “point to…”

1. Ask Ss to listen carefully for the first time, they can get the answer. It’s a “bird”. Pay attention to the pronunciation of “girl, bird”. （此处穿插情感教育：同学们，只要我们努力保护环境，环境变好了，小鸟也会飞到我们的教室来，让我们一起努力保护环境吧！）

2. Teach the new words on the screen: door , window , blackboard, bird, tweet, point to, the, stand up，sit down.(以齐读，分小组读，单独抽学生读的方式进行，并给分奖励) 3. Have a try, I can read. 4. Read and underline “Point to ……”. Ss listen for the second time. Read follow the recording. Then check the answers “Point to the door/ window/ blackboard.”

Read these sentences and do the actions.(指向教室里的实物) Step 6: Game 1.

“Do as I say”（照我说的做）. First, I give the orders, Ss do them togther. Then, do the actions in groups. Next, ask several Ss to do it. E.g: Point to the door/ window/ blackboard/ bird……

(此环节加大奖励力度，激励学生们都来参与，活跃课堂气氛。) 2.

“Leader & soldier”, who is faster? (need two soliders and one learder) Put up the word cards about “door, window, blackboard, bird”
