another S and gives an order. (The same for the Ss

following.)

Step 2: Leading-in

1. T: “Can you play the piano?”

T: “Amy can play the piano. She played it in a concert. Do you know what happened in the concert?”

Write the title on the whiteboard.

Step 3: Presentation

1.

Ask Ss to open their books, and turn to Page 16. Give them a few minutes to read the text and circle the unfamiliar words. 2.

Learn new words and phrases: last year, at the end, clap, proud, etc.

Ss look at their books, listen to the CD, and then answer my questions:

When did Amy play in a concert?

How did she feel before the concert?

What did everyone do at the end?

Was Amy proud?

4.

Play it again, pause after each sentence for Ss to point and repeat.

5.

Read after T.

Step 4: Activity 2

1. Look at the picture of Activity 2, and asks 1 S to answer the first question.

2. Pairwork: Give a few minutes to let Ss to ask and answer the questions. 3. Ask 3 pairs of Ss to give a performance (the best pair will get sticks).

Step 5: Homework 1. Listen and read the text.

Describe other animals’

activity by group members. If he/she is right, his/her group will get a star. And finally, the members of winner group can get 2 points.

Step 4: Learn the song ---- I saw the music man
