教材分析：

本课是冀教版小学英语五年级下册第二单元第一课内容。本单元以Jenny等人在北京的参观旅游和购物为话题，通过在北京的旅游和购物活动，增加学生的兴趣，学习语言知识。本课先介绍他们到达北京的情况，在介绍公园中人们的具体动作，使学生学会用现在进行时态描述正在发生的动作。

学情分析：

本课教学对象为五年级学生，已经掌握了一定的单词、短语及句型,已经具有了初步的语言学习能力。但学生对可数名词单数变复数的规则与不规则形式并没有比较完整清晰的概念。他们对英语学习有持续的兴趣和爱好，大部分的学生学习态度已经由被动学习向主动学习转变。学生在学习中乐于参与、积极合作。

教学目标：

知识与技能目标：

学生在听说读写方面掌握和运用下列词汇和基本句型结构：

people ,men, women, child,children, many He/She is doing.... They are doing.... There are .... 能灵活使用现在进行时表示正在做的事情。

过程与方法目标：

通过师生对话、小组合作等方式，培养学生用英语对动作进行描述以及合作、交流的能力。

情感态度价值观目标：

培养学生的文化意识和英语语感。

教学重点：

掌握四会词汇及句式：

people, men, women, child, children,many A man is doing.... Some men are doing.... 掌握现在进行时用法及初步了解there be句式。

教学难点：

使学生能正确认识和使用本课生词并在句式中得到应用。

使学生用英语介绍身边地人正在进行的动作。

教学过程: Step 1: Greetings as usual Step 2:Lead-in T：Beijing is our capital city of our country. Beijing is great. LiMing, Danny and Jenny go on a trip to Beijing.How do they go to Beijing?(出示Danny他们在火车上的图片) Ss: They go to Beijing by train. T: What are they doing on the train?Remember? Ss: Yes. T:What is Danny doing? Ss: Danny is singing. (分别让学生说说Jenny和LiMing正在干什么）

T：At1:17，they arrive in Beijing.Let’s see what they see in Beijing.Today we’ll learn Lesson 7

Arriving in Beijing(板书并领读标题）

(设计意图：通过图片展示复习现在进行时的表达方法，导入新课，为本课用现在进行时描述公园里的人们正在做的事情做好铺垫。）

Step 3：New words T:On their way to the hotel,they see a park.(出示公园图片）What can you see in the park? Ss:many people T：Good job!There are many people in the park.(板书many people 并学习两词）

T：Look at here,who is she? Ss: A child. T:She is a child.(板书child 并领读、拼写）

T: Who are they? Ss: children T:Boys and girls are children. You are children.(板书并学习children一词）

同样的方式学习man,men,woman,women 并板书

Men,women and children are people. （设计意图：通过展示图片，一一对应学习单词单复数，形象直观）

Step4：chant Let students remember these words for 1 minute 学生拍手齐说chant This is a child. These are children. This is a man. These are men. This is a woman.

These are women. Men, women and children are people. （设计意图：chant 的形式巩固新知，朗朗上口，节奏感较强）

Step5：New Concept T：What is the man doing? Ss: The man is running. T: What are the men doing? Ss:The men are doing Taichi. 同样的方式师生对话描述公园里的人们正在做的事情。（板书running，singing，dancing，flying a kite,playing football,doing Taichi) （设计意图：师生对话学习新知，为下一环节小组合作做铺垫。）
