教材分析

本册书的重点是一般过去时，学生在五年级接触过一般过去时，本单元在全书中是学习一般过去时的第五个单元也是最后一个单元。

本书的前四单元已经学习了一般过去时，对于用when, where, who, what引导的一般过去时的特殊疑问句的结构已基本掌握，本单元又有所拓展，新增how many引导的特殊疑问句，以及用ago，in表示的过去的时间状语（three days ago，in 1896）。本单元前两课是了解古代运动会（the ancient

Olympic Games）与现代奥运会（the modern Olympic Games），第一课得主句型为When did the ancient Olympic Games begin? They began in 776BC,about 3000 years ago：第二课的主句型为When did people hold the first modern Olympic Games？They held them in 1896 in Athens，Greece.第三课主要介绍第29届北京奥运会（the 29th

Olympic Games）, 功能句型

“How many medals did Chinese sportsmen win?”，

第四课为复习课，加入了冠词的用法总结。

学情分析

通过一个单元的英语学习，学生对于版块已经比较了解并具备了一定的听说读写的能力，大多数同学在课堂上都能积极参与，课前预习和课后复习的学习习惯也已经基本养成。学生们很熟悉了每个板块的掌握要求。

教学目标

（一）知识与技能目标

（1）理解课文，了解古代奥林匹克运动会的相关知识，并能正确朗读、表演对话。

（2）能听懂、会说功能句型When did the ancient Olympic Games begin?及其答语

They began in 776 BC, about 3000 years ago。能正确运用询问事情发生时间的功能用语“When did the ancient Olympic Games begin?”

并能正确运用“They …in…”

来描述动作发生的时间。

（3）能听、说、读、写ancient，begin, thousand, history, hundred, modern, （4）能认读Olympic Games、说出begin、think、can、hold动词的过去式。

（5）能借助录音读懂story time里的故事，并回答问题。

（二）过程与方法

（1）通过呈现奥运会的会徽、会旗、场所、吉祥物等图片来激发学习兴趣。

（2）通过预设问题来呈现课文的有关内容并运用竞赛的方法来检测朗读课文的流利程度，提高学习兴趣。

（3）运用北京奥运会点火的视频来帮助理解古代奥运会的历史。

（三）情感态度价值目标

了解奥运会，热爱体育运动。运用交际法让学生交流一周来的生活，既达到使用“时间段+ ago”语用目的，有提升了同学的情感态度价值观。
