《Unit 6 How many? Part C Story time》教学设计

1.Teaching material

The content of this period is a story about Zoom and Zip. It’s many to talk about the numbers. And it’s the conclusion of this unit. So it plays an important part in this unit.

2.The fact of students

As for the students of Grade 3, with the limited vocabulary they may feel hard to use the interested in reading and acting the story. So it may be not so difficult for them to talk.

3.Teaching objectives

By the end of this lesson students will be able to understand and read the story correctly . And they will be better able to count and talk about the numbers.

7.Teaching procedure

Step1:Pre—reading

(1)Greeting and introduction

(2)Sing a song: Ten little fingers

Purpose: Arouse students interest and lead in to the topic

Step 2: While—reading

(1)Show students a picture and let them to talk

(2)Open books and read the story on page 65,then answer the questions:

a.What are they doing?

b.How many…?

c.Who is the winner?

(3)Let students read the story by themselves and think about is Zoom happy? Why?

If you are Zoom , what will you do?

(Think about and discuss with your partners.)

Purpose: Cultivate the students’ basic abilities of reading and improved their cooperative learning skills.

Step 3: Post—reading

(1)Listen and repeat the tape

(2)Read and act the story in pairs.

Purpose: Make students feel happy to share their experiences to the partners

Act and retell the story to your friends or parents.

Purpose: Consolidate what they learnt this lesson and try to use it in our daily life.
