能够用本课句型进行连贯的英文对话。

二、教学重点

How many 和there be 句型的基本用法。

三、教学难点

“ How many + 可数名词复数”引导询问数量的疑问句，注意与how much的区别，how much后要接不可数名词。

Let’s learn的后两幅图片，以简笔画形式出现。

五、学情分析

五年级学生已具备最基础的英文交流能力，本课的句型跟学生的日常生活息息相关，所以学习本课句型对他们来说是件轻松愉快的事情。

六、教学过程

T: Today I will divide you into 3 groups ,G1 ,G2 , G3. 1. Let’s chant.(Ten little Indians) T: Boys and girls, Let’s begin our class. First, show me your hands. Let’s chant. Wonderful! 2. Lead in. T: This song is about numbers .How many Indian boys ? S: Ten. T: Yes ! And how many pupils are there? Today our topic is “How many pupils are there ?” Now show me your fingers, let’s write. How many pupils are there ? Now let’s count . S: Number 1 , 2 …… 38 . 3. Game. T: Let’s play a game .For example ,I say Number 4,then Number 4 stand up and you can say the other numbers. One by one . Can you play ? S: Yes ! T: Let’s try ! 4. Practice. T: Boys and girls. We are in Class One. So how many pupils are there in Class One?

S: 38 . T: Yes, 38. There are 38. Now, I ask, you answer. How many pupils are there in Class One? S: There are 38. T: Then you ask ,I answer . S; How many pupils are there in Class One? T：There are 38. Next you can practice with your partner . Who can show . ( Then students show .) T: Now girls stand up. Boys, let’s count. B: One ,two……fifteen. There are 15. T: Now girls ask, boys answer. Ok, change. Very good .Let’s write . S: Ok. T: Boys stand up. Girls ,please count . G: 23 T: Now , boys ask. Girls ,answer . You did a good job. Look at Picture 1, how to ask? S: How many men are there in the room ? T: How to answer . S: There are 3. T: So clever . Look at Picture 2,boys ask, girls answer.
