一、基础知识部分

常带同位语从句的抽象名词：

fact, truth, news, belief, hope, idea, story, view, dream, decision, report, evidence，

purpose, conclusion, memory, condition, assumption; doubt, question, problem, concern; suggestion, proposal, advice．

表结果：

resulting in the fact that …；leading to the fact that …

表条件：

三、同位语从句与定语从句的区别

同位语从句：

The suggestion that we discuss the problem all over again is a good one.

What is the suggestion? The suggestion is that we discuss the problem all over again. 定语从句: The suggestion that he gave at the meeting was a good one.

Which suggestion was a good one? The suggestion that he gave at the meeting. 1、

同位语从句是对前面的名词作进一步解释、说明它是什么、是谁；that不充当句子成份。

2、

定语从句是修饰前面的先行词；that在句中充当主语或宾语，有实际意义。

a) The factory ________ we visited yesterday is a chemical one. b) The news ________ he will leave for Shanghai is true.

同位语从句的简易判断方法

同位语与其先行词之间在逻辑上是“主语+be+表语”的同位语关系。所以，可以在名词从句之间加系动词be，使之构成一个新句子，如果合乎逻辑，句子通顺，则原句为同位语从句；定语从句是不能够有系表结构把先行词与从句连接起来的。例如：

The belief that the earth is flat is still held in some countries. →_______________________________ . 听说他们的队赢了，他们很高兴。
