教材分析：

Story time这一板块分成两个部分，第一部分：孩子们在下周就要学习有关澳大利的知识，在课前学生需要先了解有关方面的内容，Mike，Wang Bing，Liu Tao，Yang Ling通过不同方法去了解澳大利亚。第二部分：主要介绍

Liu Tao通过上网查资料来了解澳大利亚。涉及到find out，learn about等词的用法。这一板块主要是先让学生了解will的用法，让学生了解will后面接动词的原型。

教学目标：

知识目标

1.

学生能听懂，会读，会说，会写country, learn, about, next, magazine, exciting, like…等单词。

2.

学生能听懂，会读，会说kangaroo, koala, Sydney等单词。

学生能掌握一些常用短语和句型find out, read about, I’ll…

1. 初步培养学生运用所学词汇和本课的重点句型复述并扩充文章的能力。

2. 能用所学的词汇和句型结构简单表达自己的想法，培养学生的语言表达能力。

1. 通过学习拓宽视野，不但了解本国的文化，还能了解别国的文化。

教学重点

1.读准

2.了解澳大利亚的文化。

3知道will后面接动词原形。

教学难点：

1. 能熟练运用will的用法。

2. 运用所学介绍澳大利亚。

教学过程：

Step 1. Pre-reading

1. Free talk. What day is today? What date is it today? What did you do yesterday? Where did you go last summer holiday? How is the weather today? Yes, it’s sunny. Last year, I went to s sunny and warm place. It’s really beautiful. Let’s enjoy it together. [设计意图]通过师生熟悉的话题进行交流，拉近师生间的距离，也为引出今天的主题做好铺垫。

2. Enjoy a video（lead-in）. What can you see in the video? What’s the video about?

Teach：country, Australia, an interesting country, Unit 6 an interesting country [设计意图]通过视频直观欣赏到澳大利亚的美景、娱乐项目和动物等，刺激学生的眼神经，吸引学生的注意力，增加学生对本堂课的兴趣。

3. Let’s talk. If you want to know about a country, how will you find out about the country? To know a new country, we will surf the Internet, ask sb. for help, read books, watch an exhibition and so on. 4. Check students’ preparations. Did you find out something about Australia? Say something about the weather, famous cities, food and animals. Teach：kangaroo, koala, Sydney [设计意图]预习检测，一是可以培养学生自学能力；二是可以当堂反馈出本堂课学生已知和未知的内容，把握本节课的教学重难点。

Tips: find out, find , look for [设计意图]初读课文，了解本课的主题，三个词的区分也是学生做题中的常常混淆的，讲解加习题，帮助学生更好的区分和掌握。

2. Read the narration. 3. Read, underline and talk in groups. How will the children find out about Australia? Who Mike Wang Bing Liu Tao Yang Ling Teach: I’ll=I will, magazine 4. Listen and repeat P58. 5. Talk about their preparations in pairs. [设计意图]细读课文第一部分，通过表格的形式，让学生更清晰地理清文章的人物和事情，从而使学生自己说的时候更能有条理性。

b. Choose one country to find out information about it and discuss after class. (the UK, the USA, Canada…)
