To know the names of animals in the zoo and their features. 3.

To learn to show directions for others and give the right response to others. Teaching Steps: Step 1 Presentation 1.

Present some pictures

Learn some new words of Reading Step 2 Presentation 1.

Show a picture of pandas and present the sentence “Pandas like to eat bamboo and lie down all day long.”

Show more pictures of other animals and present more sentences. Step 3 Pre-reading T: Would you like to go on a trip to Sunshine Zoo? S: Yes.

T: What can we see in the zoo?

S: We can see lots of animals.

Step 4 While-reading 1.

Read the article and answer questions.

Where are they now?

How many kinds of animals are there in the article?

What are they? 2.

Read the article again and complete Part B1 on Page 45. 3.

Read aloud the article and put T or F in the blanks. 4.

Fill in the blanks with the correct answers on Page 46. 5.

Complete the conversation with the information on Page 44.Then have the students act out the conversation with their partners. Step 5 Homework 1.
