Unit2 Neighbours Period 1 Reading Teaching aims：

1. Help the students learn about the community centre. 2. Make the students be able to introduce the activities of the community centre in English. 3.Help the students build the realization of helping each other among the neighbours.

Step 1

Presentation Present some pictures and ask the Ss a question: What are my neighbours like? Present the study aims. Present some new words and read them aloud. Step 2 Listening

1. Listen and answer the questions. 1)

What are Simon’s neighbours like?

2) When and where do the volunteers often meet? 3) Who can help Simon with his problem? 4) What’s Annie’s problem?

5) How do the volunteers help the old people?
