7B Unit 4 Finding your way Comic strips & Welcome to the unit Teaching aims and learning objectives：

By the end of the lesson, students should be able to: (1)

to understand the dialogue and act it out; (2)

to be able to tell the direction and how long the distance is; (3)

to introduce the topic of places and transport; (4)

to love our hometown, to love nature.

Teaching focus and predicted difficulty: (1)

to make up a dialogue about how to introduce the topic of places about the the information of direction, distance and transportation to get there (2)

to learn to use the map or GPS to find your direction when you are travelling and through the travelling to get close to nature and to love nature.

Free talk about the weather and transportation;

Watch a video to introduce SiHong;

3.

Show some map about the distance and the direction to introduce the topic; Step 2：Presentation

Task 1: Learn the direction: north, south, west and east;

Activity 1: give the little horse a helping hand (tell the direction) Task 2: Learn more direction: north-east, north-west, south-east, south-west;

Activity 6: Introduce the famous places around your school.

Take the Interests of places in Nanjing as an example to introduce the information about the direction, distance and transportation so that students can consolidate what you have learned in the part.
