Unit 5 A birthday party

第一课时

一、

Learning Aims 1、Enable the students to read, say and write these phrases: went to a party, sang and danced, played games, read a storybook, saw a film. 2、Grasp the sentence pattern: “What did you do last weekend?

I…”. And can be used in actual situations. 3、Enable the students to use the words and phrases to make a simple conversations. 4、Enable the students to keep their interested in English through listening, saying, reading, and acting the dialogue.

二、Key and difficult points. Key points：

1、Grasp the sentence pattern: “What did you do last weekend? I…”.

2、Enable the students to read, say and write these phrases: went to a party, sang and danced, played games, read a storybook, saw a film. Difficult points: The writing and application of verbs in the past, especially in the past tense of special changes. 三、Warming up Greeting

T: Dear children, I’m glad to see you . Are you ready for our class?

OK, class begins.

Ss:

Yes. Stand up. Good morning teacher. How are you today? T: I’m fine, thank you . What a lovely day.

OK, sit down, please. Before our class I’ll divide you into two groups. This is group A and this is group B . Two groups will have a big PK.

Come on, children, OK? 【设计意图】采用歌谣的问候方式进行问候，让学生有耳目一新的感觉，使学生对课堂充满兴趣，活跃课堂氛围并轻松将学生带入课堂。再根据学生的竞争意识设置竞争机制，让整堂课都在积极的氛围中进行，激起学生的学习兴趣。

【设计意图】此环节通过以旧引新，引出上周末这个词组，既巩固旧知又为新知做铺垫。再通过游戏自然地引出文本出示重点句型，降低难度，让学生在实际的语言环境中体会与理解句型并会运用。实现玩中学，学中玩，寓教于乐的教学宗旨。

5、Show the title:

T: Our weekends were different .What about Linda and Billy? What did they do last weekend? Do you want to know? Ss: Yes. T: Now ,let’s learn our new lesson Unit 5 A birthday party? It’s break time, they are talking about their last weekend in the class room.

【设计意图】通过每个人上周末做的事情自然地过渡到Linda 和

Billy上周末做的事情，让知识衔接的更自然，并引起学生的好奇心，让其积极的思考探索新知。

6、Let the students listen to the tape and answer the first question:

T: What did Linda do last weekend?

Ss: She went to a birthday party.

Learn the phrase “went to a party”

.Use “What did you do last weekend?

I went to a party’ to ask and answer one by one .

T：Whose birthday? Ss: Rita’s.

Sing a song for her . Then learn the word neighbor. 【设计意图】通过生日歌曲营造过生日的氛围，给学生创造良好的语言环境，并用Linda 和Rita 的关系引出下文，层层递进，易于学生理解。

Listen to the tape again and choose the answers.

Use the game to practice the phrases. 8、Make a dialogue with partner. “when is your birthday? My birthday is in ...? What did you do on you last birthday? I...... 9、Play a game of “植物大战僵尸”. 【设计意图】此环节设计了两个游戏，其中击鼓传花游戏是用来巩固练习短语sang and danced. 突破其读音上的难点。紧接着以新旧句型结合形式出现小对话，让学生学以致用，从而达到综合运用语言的能力。最后以植物大战僵尸抢答游戏来巩固所学短语，让学生温故而知新。（实录时间大约在8：41~16：25）

10、Let students read silently and answer the last question : What did Billy do last weekend?

11、Show the words of the original form and the past form. Let students read and write. Pay attention to the pronunciation of read

12、Play a game : Finding friends.

【设计意图】此环节采用了选图找go和sing的动词过去式形式的游戏，让学生大胆到讲台上来进行互动，增强学生自信心，使学生整堂课都保持着浓厚的兴趣，其次强调went 和

sang 的发音，让学生准确发音，注意区分动词原形

和过去式。

13、Ask the students to follow the tape and imitate, Practice with partner then act the dialogue.

Let the students try to read the dialogue when there are some missing words in the dialogue.

【设计意图】此环节通过跟读、对话表演来巩固对话，并培养学生的表达能力。

根据学生的认知规律由易到难，拓展填空练习，达到巩固强化新知的目的。

Play a guessing game and learn the phrase saw a film. 15、Show teacher’s composition ,then let the students write their own compositions and share it.

【设计意图】此环节是对知识的总结输出，根据本课重点内容进行适当拓展延伸，通过介绍自己的上个生日来引导学生完成写作，从而达到综合运用语言的目的。整节课全通过对话，游戏引出新知，到此新语言全部呈现，教学设计做到了词、句、篇完美融合的目的。

五、Emotional education:

That day was our mother’s Good Friday . She was pregnant for ten months and gave birth to us. She took care of us and

taught us how to be a good person . She is really great. We should obey and study hard . We are going to love her forever.

【设计意图】通过生日短文的表达引出母亲生我们养我们的过程，对学生进行情感教育，让学生听话并好好学习，永远爱妈妈。

1、Act the dialogue to you parents. 2、Say “I love you ” to your parents. 【设计意图】此环节紧扣本节课的主体知识，让学生进行课后巩固，将学所运用到实际。

Summarize the score and say goodbye.

【设计意图】一节课下来对学生的学习成果进行总结，并奖励给获胜的小组蛋糕卡片，让获胜的小组说“Yeah ”没获胜的鼓励他们说“come on”，激励学生努力学习，争取获胜。
