课题：Module1 My First Day at Senior High Culture Corner

二、教学内容及模块整体分析

This is part of student’s book I Module 1 My First Day at Senior High.The emphasis of this period will be placed on the important new words, expressions in the part of Vocabulary and Reading. And get the students to find out the different school systems between China and America , then give some explanations about them , and offer practice to make students master the important words of usage. 三、学情分析

刚刚升入高中的高一学生，学***参差不齐，他们对新的学校，新的学习生活很好奇，也很感兴趣，但对于美国高中教育体系不了解，指导学生指导学生课前查询相关资料，充分利用工具书培养自学能力。

重点：Master the new words and phrases：Cover ， divide， the first of which3. join; join in; take part in; attend . And understand the main idea of the text and can answer some questions. 难点：Find out the different school systems between China and America . 六、教学过程

want to know the life of the teenagers in the similar age of you in other countries? Now please turn to P9, let’s read the text in cultural corner and learn something about the Senior High school life in the US.

Ss:Yes Ss look at the pictures 用图片呈carefully and know more about 现不同的中美Step 2. Warm-up Show some pictures about school. Chinese school and American 学校，引发学生school Step 3. Reading Fast-Reading Ask the students to read the text.and answer the question on Page 9.

Careful-Reading Ask the students to answer the following questions：

1.How long does secondary school cover in the US? 2.Which grades are high school? 3.What do they need if they want to go to college? 4.How many semesters are there in the school year? 5.What are they? 6.What is the school schedule? 7.What is the main idea of the third and the fouth paragraph? Sum up Let students sum up the differences between American school system and China’s .

七、教学评价设计

本课的设计采用了课前下发导学案，学生预习本节内容，找出自己迷惑的地方。课堂上师生主要解决重难点，疑点，考点，易混点，最后进行当堂检测，课后进行拓展延伸，以达到提高课堂效率的目的。利用对比区分的方式让学生更好的了解了不同的教育体系。在以后的教学过程中会进一步完善教学步骤，提高教学效率。
