一、教材内容分析

本单元的主题是“Inventors and inventions”，热身部分主要让学生了解近百年来全球著名的发明家以及他们的发明对人类的影响。阅读1主要通过阅读让学生了解一项严谨的发明所要经历的过程以及哪些东西是可以申请专利的，同时培养学生的阅读能力，激发学生对发明的兴趣。阅读2是电话发明者贝尔的传记，通过阅读既要了解贝尔的生平及电话的发明过程，也要从中领悟作为一名发明家所要具备的优秀品质。Learning about Language 这一部分是复习名词性从句。名词性从句包括主语从句、宾语从句、表语从句和同位语从句。这四类从句在句子中的作用都相当于名词，所以统称为名词性从句。这四类从句在句中担当的成分不同，但是引导词基本相同，可以放在一起分析异同，加强学生对四类从句的认识。

二、学情分析

本节课学习的内容是复习名词性从句，是一节语法课。语法向来是我们学生比较头疼的内容。班上的学生大多来自周边郊区，英语底子没打好，基础比较差，对于英语语法大都是一知半解。加上前几年一直强调弱化语法，像主谓宾这样的句子成分他们在语文课上都没学过，再来分析英语的句子难度可想而知。而本节课区分从句的类型基础就是要弄清句子成分。因此在讲授的过程中可能要根据学生的反应情况，适当增加句子成分的讲解。另外对于一句话中谓语动词的把握也很关键，可以帮助学生找出其他句子成分，也可适当补充。名词性从句是语法里面的一大块，值得花时间来好好复习一下。

帮助学生克服学习语法的畏难情绪，建立学习英语的信心。
