教材分析

本课通过展示水、树木、能源等在我们生活中的重要性，来提高人们保护地球的意识。文中有几个重要的句型需要掌握，如use…to do sth. 情态动词should和shouldn’t的复现，同时课文中出现了很多动词如protect，save，reuse，waste等，是学生的学习难点。最后通过对本课的学习，学生应该提高自己保护地球的意识。

教学设想

1. 本课的教学内容探讨了一个现今社会普遍关注的热点话题——保护地球。顾名思义，地球是我们的母亲，因此针对现今社会存在的地球环境问题，全人类都应该动员起来，为保护地球环境奉献自己的一份力量。

2. 本课的故事一共分为节约水资源、节约能源、节约树木资源和不要浪费太多的塑料资源四个部分。与之前的课文相比，短文的客观性较强，故事性较弱，因此，在使学生充分理解文章内容的同时，要让学生感同身受，意识到环境保护的紧迫性，自觉投入到学习活动中去。具体做法如下：

1）在展示本课时内容之前，先通过展示视频的形式，让学生认识到一些资源对人类的重要性和现今社会存在的环境问题，增强他们对地球环境问题的初步感知，调动他们想要了解更多地球环境问题的兴趣。

2）在快速阅读的基础上，让学生带着任务，采用快速的阅读方法寻找答案；随后让学生采用细读的方法，对不懂的地方作出标记。

3）通过播放录音，让学生进行跟读练习，进一步感知文章内容，同时纠正学生的语音问题。

3. 随着知识的拓展，六年级学生的思维方式也呈现出多元化的特点，主动思维开始急剧增长，在好奇心的驱使下，他们更愿意用自己的方式去思考这个世界。因此，针对这一阶段学生的特点，教学中突出学生充分发挥他们自己的主体地位，去探索更多的地球环境问题，去感知保护地球的必要性，从而去改变自己的生活方式。

3）Self learning of “save trees” and “Do not use too much plastic”

Task 1. Read silently and try to find out the new words or expressions that you do not know. 教学
