【教材分析】

本课教学内容是《义务教育教科书英语（PEP）（三年级起点）五年级上册Unit 4 What can you do? C Story time部分，教学故事Rat and Snake。本部分呈现的是田鼠如何机智地被蛇吃掉的厄运，在紧张的故事情节发展中复习巩固本单元核心词汇与句型。What can you do? I can... Can you...? Yes, I can / No, I can't. 以及多个动词及动词词组。教师帮助学生通过图片和上下文理解句子的意思，如：Don’t throw me into the lake, please! Silly snake! 这一故事教学的目的是让学生在阅读中进一步复习和巩固本单元的知识，并得以有效拓展。

【学情分析】

这是人教版2013版五年级上册第四单元C部分一篇有趣的小故事，学生已掌握有相关能力表达的基础，而这篇故事又与对话教学不同，特别生动有趣。老师应该想办法激活学生的表达欲望，猜测故事的结局，表达自己的想法，让语言从教材走向生活。

【学习目标】

（1）我能借助图片，在录音和老师的帮助下，理解故事，并尝试用核心语言与同伴或老师讨论故事情节，猜测、预测故事发展。

（2）我能在图片和老师正确朗读故事，并能表演故事。

（3）我能够体会故事中主人公人物的感情变化，能大胆表达个人看法，逐渐形成爱思考、敢质疑的思维习惯。

【评价任务】

1.

通过While-task stage 中的look and guess，read and answer来检测目标1的达成。

2.

通过While-task stage 中的跟读、小组表演及post-task中的根据提示表演故事来检测目标2的达成。

3.

通过While-task stage 和Post--task stage 中的think and say来检测目标3的达成。

S: No. T: Why? Because the snake will eat her. So the rat is very afraid.
