一、教材分析Teaching Analysis

本课是外研社版新标准小学英语一年级起点第八册，Module 9 Unit 1 《Why do you like Australia?》，课型为新授课。本课的具体内容是：Amy和Lingling正在看一张澳大利亚的地图时，引发的一段对话。在理解本课内容，学习本课重难点知识的同时，帮助学生初步了解澳大利亚的相关知识，比如地图、语言、国旗、国徽、当地动物等。

二、学情分析Analysis of students

四年级的学生经过四年的英语学习对英语有一定的听说读写能力，在教师的指导下，他们能够熟练操作所学句型。他们求知欲强，表现欲强，对于本课涉及到的关于异国文化和习俗的话题，学生们非常乐于去了解和探索。但是由于每个孩子的水平不同，在教学中要取长补短，争取每个孩子都有收获和提高。

三、教学目标

1. 知识目标

(1)学生能听、说、读、写单词：map, Australia, Australian, language (2) 学生能够听说读用Why do you like Australia? Because I love Australian animals. Why do you love kangaroos and koalas? Because they are very, very cute. (3)学生能够理解并阅读新授课文。

2. 技能目标

(1) 能够正确流畅有感情的朗读课文。能认读本课单词，以及主要句式“Why……？”与“Because……”。

(2) 学生能够理解如何使用Why和Because来提问并且回答自己喜欢的动物。

3. 情感目标

帮助孩子们建立学习英语的自信心，提升英语学习的成就感，使他们敢于、乐于张口说英语，增强其学英语的积极性。在学习过程中了解澳大利亚的文化、风俗习惯等相关知识，激发他们对于异国文化的兴趣，提升他们跨文化意识的同时，产生热爱自己祖国的情感态度

设计意图

选用以前学习过的歌曲热身，为学生营造轻松愉悦的英语学习氛围，学生们通过探讨他们最喜欢的动物，引出结束的两张图片：kangaroo和koala。学习本课新授单词。

What animal do you like best? S1:I like pandas. S2: I like tigers. T: I like the two animals best. Let’s guess together. Learn the new words: kangaroo, koala.

Step 2.Presentation and Practice 1.T: Do you know where koalas and kangaroo come from? Show the map of Australia and introduce some information about Australia. Learn the new words：map, Australia 注意Australia发音. T: Do you want to know more about Australia?
