Thus this lesson is quite useful and important for Ss to learn. Teaching aims 1.

Knowledge aims Ss are able to grasp the sentence pattern”how much” as well as its answers and use them to ask and give answers about prices. 2.

Ability aims Ss can tell the differences between “is”and “are”, and between “it” and “they”. Ss are able to make conversations using the sentence patterns by creating situations. 3.

Emotional aims Ss can form a correct view of consumption and get a profound understanding of their parents. Then they can be encouraged to study harder. Teaching key points

Ss are able to understand and apply the sentence patterns freely. Besides, they can use them in their daily life. Teaching difficult points Ss have the concept of countable nouns and uncountable nouns, plural forms and singular forms of countable nouns. They can use link verbs and pronouns such as, it and they, correctly. Step 3 Practice

Activity one: Ss make short conversations with their desk mates using the pictures and sentence patterns on the BB. Activity two: 3a-3b Step 4 Consolidation Ss work in pairs and make a conversation happened in a supermarket. Then I’ll invite several groups to show it in the front of the class. Step 5 Summary Ss summarize the lesson first and then I’ll make a supplement. Step 6 Homework Ss need to tell their parents what they have learnt today.
