Good morning, ladies and gentlemen. It’s my great honor to be here to present my teaching procedures. The content of my lesson is from New Standard English Book 2 module3 music, reading part.

(一)Teaching Aims (1) To master the important words and expressions:such as director, genius, talent, compose, tour, be known as, of all time , be impressed with, go deaf

(2) To understand the main idea of the lesson, talk about musicians and get their own idea about description of persons. （二）The Important and Difficult Points The important points

(1) Master the new words and phrases in this period.

(2) Get the main idea of each part. The difficult points

(1) Master the reading skills about biology.

Teaching Procedures

Step 1. Lead-in. (2 min) I’ll play a piece of music and ask

T: As we know, there are various kinds of music around the world. They all have their own obvious characteristics. And also there were famous composers such as Joseph Haydn, Mozart, and Beethoven.

Step 2 Pre-reading (2 min)

show the pictures of the three great musicians;ask students what do you know about them? Step 3. While-reading (6min) Ask the Ss to scan the passage and finish task1 and 2 Task 1Choose the best title A.
