一、教材简析

本单元选自外研版三年级起点英语六年级上册，Module 4 Unit1的内容. 本模块的主题是festival.本单元主要谈论美国重要的节日，介绍感恩节、国旗日这些节日，以及这些节日所做的事情。主要是让学生了解更多西方节日，培养跨文化意识。在教本单元之前，学生在三、四年级已经学过春节以及圣诞节这些节日，所以学生已有一定的基础。

二、学情分析

六年的学生已经具有了一定的语言基础，掌握了一定的听说、读、写的技能，探索意识强，兴趣浓厚，愿意大胆开口说英语，乐于积极主动的开展合作学习，但仍有一部分学生基础较差。

三、教学目标

1.语言知识目标

：

学生能听、说、认读本单元的新单词如：Thanksgiving , Thanksgiving Day ,flag ,Flag Day , fly , special, meal, sound football.以及了解西方国家的节日：国旗日和感恩节。

2.语言技能目标：

全体学生能用”Thanksgiving is my favourite festival”这类语句来谈论重要节日。

3.情感态度目标

1）能谈论和描述课文所介绍的节日，并产生对其他西方节日的兴趣，培养学生的跨国文化意识。

2）积极参与活动，和他人共同合作学习，并获得学习乐趣和学习英语成就感。

四、学习重点

本单元的学习重点是复习和巩固行为动词一般现在时的用法。学习人们最喜欢的节日及人们在这些节日的活动。

1. 任务型教学法：让学生带着问题看动画，并回答问题。

2. 以旧带新教学法：运用学生已有知识经验，在自由交流中自然导入。

3. 情境创设法：创设合理的情境，进行语言操练。

Step 1. warm up and Pre-task: 1）.Greeting Teacher: Good morning children! Ss : Good morning， Sherman. 2）.I say, you do (play basketball,fly kite,watch

TV etc) (设计意图)通过全身反应法，激活动词短语，为后面What do you do on Thanksgiving Day ?做好准备。

No, we fly the flag. (设计意图) 通过与生谈话，操练What do you do …?的句型，同时在语境中操练That sounds nice.这一句型，引出单词flag及短语fly the flag.同时通过展示不同国家的国旗，拓宽学生的视野。

T: I will tell you one of my American festival. It’s on the fourth Thursday of November. We always have a special meal. We say ,“thank you” for our food, family and friends. What’s the festival?

学生一一回答。We say thank you for our teachers.等等。

3. Make a dialogue . 课本活动3 两个一组练习，然后展示。

每个小组有8个句子，快速从中选择本节日的活动的句子，然后粘在卡纸上，然后再介绍。最快的小组获胜。（教师进行指导） Pratice

Step 5： Summary T:What have you learned today? 学生汇报后，利用黑板板书进行集体总结。Which team is the winner ? 奖励获胜小组。然后播放感恩的曲子，话语，教育学生学会感恩。

Step 6：Homework: （1）Listen and repeat the text （2）Surf on the internet and find out more about American festivals. (设计意图)课后学生通过互联网了解更多美国法定节假日，使学生信息量得到加大。
