V. Teaching procedures Step 1 Lead-in A guessing game：

Say something about your favourite pet and imitate the pet. 【设计意图：通过一个猜测游戏导入，检查学生对于上节课所学内容的掌握，引起学生的学习兴趣，活跃课堂氛围，使学生更快的进入学习状态。】

Step 2 Presentation 1.

Look and say Show students pictures of dogs and ask them to use their own words to describe these pictures. 【设计意图：展示狗做各种动作的图片，让学生进行描述，呈现本课部分重点词组，检查学生课前的预习情况。】

Read the poem My dog slowly and clearly, then find out the rhymes in the poem. (part B1) 3.

Read the poem after the tape and match the lines with their meanings. (part B2) 4.

Read the poem in chorus and with emotion, then correct the mistakes in the sentences. 【设计意图：通过自读、跟读、齐读，帮助学生熟悉文章内容，理解文章大意，有意识的培养学生在阅读诗歌时注意语音语调并初步感知诗歌的韵律美。】

Step 3 Enjoy a video Play a video of the children’s song Little goldfish.

【设计意图：欣赏歌曲《小金鱼》，

营造轻松的课堂氛围，自然过渡到下一首诗歌。】

Step 4 Presentation 1.

Listen to the tape, then answer some questions. Q1. Is your goldfish a wonderful pet? Q2. Does she bark or miaow? Q3. Do we have to feed her much?

Q4. What does she just do? 2.

Read the poem loudly by themselves, then find out the rhymes in the poem.(part B1) 3.

Read the poem carefully and quickly, then fill in the blanks 4.

Enjoy the beauty of rhyming 【设计意图：通过听录音，了解文章大意，感受语音语调。自读找韵律，再次感受韵律美。通过跳跃式的阅读，找出关键信息，加深对文章理解。】

Thinking If you want to keep a pet, which one will you choose? Why? 【设计意图：通过该活动，让学生将两篇文章进行对比，了解不同动物具有不同的特征和生活习性，再次巩固本课所学重点词组。】

Step 5 Practice and produce 1.

A challenge : choose words to fill in the blanks and turn the article into a poem. 2.

Group work: work in groups and create your own poems of animals. 【设计意图：通过小组合作活动培养学生的合作意识，提高协作能力。检测学生对本堂课所学内容的掌握，在大量输入的基础上最终实现输出。】

Step 6 Emotional education Pets are our good friends. We should take good care of them. Enjoy poems, enjoy life. 【设计意图：通过课文学习，延伸到学生的生活，对他们的生活态度进行一定的引领。】
