Step 1.Warming-up Game: Magical box：

Get one of the student choose one picture or real object in the box, he only can use his body language, let the others guess what it is. Using:—What’s this in English?—Is it a/an…?—Yes / No.

Step2

practice （3a, 3b）

Play the recording for the first time. Students listen and number the pictures; Play the recording for the second time，let them Complete the words under the pictures.

Then ask students to read them aloud. At last, the teacher explain the main points.

Step 3. pairwork

(1) Listen and get the students to repeat the conversations。

(2)Make a conversation with the students. During this period the teacher explain the sentences of spelling words. （3）According to the conversation, ask the students to make a new conversation. Then ask several stuents to role play it. Step4 Groupwork：

Talk about the students’ bedroom. Ask and answer in group. Encourage them to use new words. （1）

Talk about the things in the picture of 3e. （2）

Drew a simple picture of your own bedroom. （3）

Talk about it using –What’s this in English? --It’s… —spell it, please.
