The Wise Tortoise教学设计

一、Content of courses:

1、Teach pupils understand the content of the story “The Wise Tortoise”;

2、Teach pupils to learn the key words and sentence patterns,

3、The emotional education that is expanded on this basis.

二、Teaching goals:

Ability and skill goals:

1、Try to help pupils understand the story carefully;

2、Try to help pupils learn these key words in the story firmly;

3、Improve children's interests in learning English and arouse their enthusiasms for their English learning;

Emotion goals:

1、Educate pupils to play safety after class, don’t run from here to there;

2、Educate pupils to use our brain in our daily life;

3、Educate pupils to help others when some people are in danger, but we should protect ourselves at first.

4、Lead pupils try to be a clever and brave boy or girl.

三、Teaching emphasis and difficulty:

1、The key words and sentence patterns in the story;

2、The emotion education in the story;

3、Help children to express themselves bravely and confidently in English;

4、Make a vivid and interesting English Performance.

四、Teaching process: Step1 Lead in; Sing an English song-Lemon Tree, to increase Pupils’ interests .

Teacher and pupils sing this song and clap their hands, encourage pupils to do some actions. Step2 Warm up; Teacher and pupils play a guessing game. The teacher describe, pupils guess the answer. ①It has a round body.It has a round head and two small round eyes.It has a short tail .It is green. What is it?

Tortoise Identify the differences of the two words: tortoise / turtle.

②It is very small.It likes jumping and singing.It has two big eyes.It is green.What is it?

Frog

③It is not very big or small.It has a big tail. It has soft and beautiful fur.What is it?

Fox

Step 3 New knowledge; ① Show some pictures of the main characters of the story;

The tortoise; the frog; the fox.

Let pupils guess the main idea of the story. ②Listen to the story and finish the tasks. Help pupils try to understand the meaning of the story. a .Try to understand the story;

b.Underline(画线) the new words. Pupils read listen to the tape carefully, and understand the main ideas of the story. Teacher walk around in the classroom, try to find pupils’ difficulties in their study. New words: ①Show two pictures to the pupils.

T: What is the boy doing? Ps : He is reading.

T: Yeah, the boy is reading, he is reading on the street. So he is in danger. Ps: Follow the teachers and read “in danger”;

Ps read the phrases one by one. The teacher and the pupils look at the other pictures together. T: What is the boy doing? Ps: 爬栏杆。

T:Yes, the boy is climbing the railing. He is in danger, he is dangerous. Read dangerous.

Ps: dangerous/ dangerous. Pupils read the words loudly. Teacher help the pupils correct the mistakes. T: Boys and girls, listen to me carefully! Don’t run from here to there after class. It is very dangerous. You are in danger. Protect yourself! ② Show a picture of bite. T: Look at the pictures carefully. What is the boy doing? Ps: He is eating. He is biting an apple. Pay attention biting--bite.

Ps: Bite. (choose some pupils read the words ) Show the other picture of bite. T: Look, what is the dog doing? Ps: The dog is biting the boy. The teacher introduces the pictures and leads pupils to talk about it. ③Show a picture of tooth; T: What’s this ?

Ps: It is a tooth.

Pupils read “tooth” loudly;

Teacher show a picture of teeth.

Teacher leads pupils to identify the differences of the two words;(tooth, teeth) Read teeth one by one; T: Pupils, pay attention! One tooth, two teeth; 4

Show a picture of “foolish”;

T: What does the word mean? (point to foolish) Ps: It means 愚蠢。

T: It means stupid. Follow me, stupid/ stupid. Ps stupid/ stupid two by two. Step 4 Understand the meanings of the story; ①Read the story quickly and number the pictures. Pupils read the story quickly; Lead pupils to number these pictures in correct order; ②Read the story and follow the teachers. Pay attention of the emotions and pronunciations ③Group Work (4 minutes): Three pupils in a group,try to act out (表演)the story.

The teacher help pupils read the story correctly. Puplis work in groups and practice it;

4、Role play time!

Teacher chooses 5 groups to act out the stories.

The teacher guides the pupils and encourages pupils to do it better.

Lead other pupils to enjoy the performances of pupils. Step 5 consolidation; Read the story again and try to answer these questions: 1、Who is in danger?

Yes These questions help pupils to understand the story.

Pupils answer these questions and teacher check the answers. Step 6 Extension; The teacher will ask pupils a questions: What can you learn from the story? Pupils will answer the question and tell us their opinions of the story. Teacher will tell them: We should use our brain(动脑筋) in our daily life. We should help others when they are in danger, but we should protect ourselves (保护好自己) at first. Try to be a clever and brave(勇敢的) boy or girl. Step 7 Homework; 1、Try to retell the story. 2、Tell the story to your parents. (亲子教育,情感教育) Step 8 Blackboard: The Wise Tortoise In danger

五、Teaching reflection:

通过本课的学习,学生学习并掌握了故事的内容以及衍生出来的一些英语单词,拓展了学生的英语词汇知识以及阅读能力。由于本故事的内容十分有趣,教师采用“听—理解——任务教学——表演——反馈检测”的教学形式,及大地调动了学生学习的积极性,提高了学生学习英语的兴趣。教学中,教师夸张的肢体语言,再加上教师完美的英语口语表达能力,结合自己对故事的理解,极大地吸引了学生。学生在老师的感召下精气神特别旺盛,非常积极主动。绘本故事教学最主要的一个目的,本次授课极大地提高了学生学习英语的兴趣,圆满地完成了教育教学目标。特别是在课中及课后的情感教育部分,老师设计得非常好。讲述indanger时老师进行的安全教育,老师教育学生课间要文明玩耍,不要乱跑,做到课间要文明休

息。而在课后总结归纳的时候,老师请同学们总结和归纳学习的感受和收获,孩子们在表述自己的收获的同时,老师还补充了一些相关的知识,巧妙地补充了对学生的情感教育。老师除了讲述课本上的知识的同时,还拓展延伸了很多课外知识,对学生学习英语进行了有效和及时的补充。总的来说,这是一节比较完美的英语故事课,韩老师巧妙地将教学进行设计,在富平县的英语学科带头人面前,展示出了科学城老师英语教学的风采,是一节比较成功的名师展示课!
