一、教材分析

本单元的核心话题是“A friend from Australia ”。围绕中国和澳大利亚两个不同国家的气候差异以及文化差异进行。“An email from Amy”是第三课时，主要学习了解不同国家的文化差异进行。教育学生要热爱祖国文化、尊重他人的习俗。

二、教学设计

本课是一篇阅读教学课，按照新课标的要求，整堂课以任务贯穿听、说、读、写的活动。让学生通过“感知-概括-应用”的思维来增长知识，发展能力。教学设计的落脚点有二：

1.在整个阅读过程中，采用预设问题，学生在观看视频感知文本，听、读的基础上自主学习，学会从文本中找寻关键信息。

2.通过阅读进行意义建构，在理解思维的过程中培养学生的语言输出能力。

三、教学目标

1.了解不同国家的文化差异。

五、教学过程

Step1 Pre-tax Activities 1.Greeting 师生通过问答进行口语交际,如: How are you ？How's the weather today？ （设计意图：阅读短文前先通过Greeting和师生问答，迅速拉近与学生之间的距离。同时对本单元的核心句型进行巩固。让学生立刻融入到英语学习的氛围中，为接下来的交流做好准备。）

2.Enjoy a song T：Do you like English songs? Ss: Yes. T: Now let’s enjoy a song “We wish you a Merry Christmas”. T: What is the song about? Ss: It’s about Merry Christmas. T: Let’s do and say. “Christmas Christmas Merry Christmas”

(设计意图：通过学唱英语歌曲，给学生营造轻松愉快的氛围。激发学生的学习兴趣。同时歌曲将本课的核心话题融入歌词，为接下来的学习做好了铺垫。) 3.Say something about Christmas T：Christmas is a very important western festival. It’s on 25th

US.Christmas is in winter.It’s very cold. T: What do you know about Christmas? Ss: 购物、圣诞树、圣诞老人... T: People have a big dinner.After dinner,they wear warm clothes to go shopping and take a walk . T：How about Australia? What do people do on Christmas Day? Our friend Amy writes an email. （板书“email”）Read after me.Today we’ll learn this email “An email from Amy”.(板书课题并读。) (设计意图：通过询问澳大利亚地圣诞节，提出Amy写了一封电子邮件，承上启下，顺利导入下一个环节。）

Step2 While-task Activities. 1.

整体感知，了解核心话题

Watch the email and think “Who writes the email? Who gets the email? What is the email about?”. T：First,let’s watch the email. T: This email is from Amy to ... T: What’s it about? Ss: Christmas. T: Subject “Merry Christmas”. ( 观看视频，初步感知邮件内容，从中捕捉关键信息。了解发件人，收件人以及邮件的主题是“Merry Christmas”。)

初读课文，学习生词

“beach”出示图片帮助学生理解。 T：go to the beach --- I go to the beach with my friends. wear(做动作) --- I wear a ... He wears a ... She wears a ... hat --- a red hat a blue hat a green hat. T：make sentences with these words. （设计意图：

让学生自读课文，圈出生词，创设情景，用生词说句子，实现语言的应用。进一步帮助学生对所学内容加深理解并为下一步合作学习打好基础。为学生扫清阅读障碍。) 3.

再读课文，解决问题

Culture corner T：So in Australia, Christmas is in summer. (设计意图：通过同桌结合读找出本文中的重点知识，充分体现学生的主体地位。同时训练学生能够在阅读中抓住关键信息的能力。加深对课文细节内容的理解，加强了学生阅读能力的练习。在学生掌握重点信息的基础上，顺势出示“culture corner”，使学生对澳大利亚的圣诞节文化有了进一步的认识，了解到不同国家的文化差异。) 3.诵读课文，积累语言。 Let’s listen and repeat the email.
