I. Teaching Aims 1. Knowledge Aims

This unit is mainly about food, which is associated with students’

daily life. The students are interested in the topic. Students have learned some sentence structures and words in Part A and Part B. This lesson

aims to stimulate students’

knowledge and experience to master the important language points of this unit through the story which happened to Zoom in a restaurant.

Step 1：

Warm up

1．Greetings T : Good morning , boys and girls . Ss : Good morning , teacher. T : I’m glad to see all of you here today, How about you? Are you happy?

Ss :Yes, I’m happy. T :I hope you are happy everyday. It’s time for class.

At first, Let’s look my homework.

C Story time.

T: Before you listen to the story ,

try to find the answer to the question ：Where is Zoom now?

Now listen to the story carefully .

(Design purpose：make students listen to story with questions and train them to form a good habit of

listening to others patiently.) 5 . Listen to the story and repeat it sentence by sentence twice.

Step 4: Practice: 1. role play: First the teacher and one student read the story in roles and act it out . Then 2 students work in a group , read it in roles and act it out .

(Design purpose：Divide them into small groups to play a role and act out. Make them understand the whole story and read fluently.) 2 . Read and choose.

Step 5 Consolidation and extension : 1 . Zoom’s home:

Mike, Zip, Sarah, they come to Zoom’s home, they are very thirsty and hungry, choose their favourite food or fruit, use these sentence on the blackboard.

(Design purpose：four students one group to act out the dialogue, and

apply their knowledge to the daily life. ) 2 .Show some pictures on the screen, tell the students: some people are wasting food, but others are suffering from hunger, wasting food is wrong, please don’t waste food, we must cherish the food. (Design purpose：make students understand that they should not waste food but cherish it by showing them pictures. The teacher not only teaches them knowledge but also educates them how to be a good kid.)

Teaching reflection: In this teaching activity, I encouraged students express their favorite juice or food bravely to practice sentence structures. When the students mastered the usage of the simple sentence structures such as , Can I have some…,please? I asked students to replace the fruits.
