Lesson9 Do you always have lunch at twelve?

Let’s talk. Part1. Analysis of the teaching material

1.This lesson is from the first part of Lesson9 do you always have lunch at twelve? It’s from Book 6 of the Primary English. 2. This lesson discusses about the foods. Let the students use the key sentence pattern “Do you always have lunch at twelve?—Yes, I do./No, I don’t.”

and “ What do you usually have for lunch? ---- I usually have rice and beef.”

Part2. Analysis of the students 1.The students of Grade 5 have already learned some words of food, such as fish, chicken, milk and so on.

2. They have got basic ability of listening, speaking, reading, and writing. They are very active and competitive.

Part3. Teaching aims

1. Knowledge aims: A: Enable the students to master the words: breakfast, lunch, supper, rice, beef, noodles, soup and so on.

B: Enable the students to express the patterns fluently: “Do you always have lunch at twelve?—Yes, I do”和“What do you usually have for lunch? ---- I usually have rice and beef.”

C: Ss can master the communicative patterns, such as” Do you always have lunch at twelve?—Yes, I do. No, I don’t.” (breakfast/ supper) to make the change.
