Step1: Warming up

T: Good afternoon, children. Nice to meet you

1, I want you to be excited. Let’s chant

2,Let’s play a game "“brain storm”what's the capital city of China ? What do you know about Beijing?

S: There are many interesting places in Beijing. The Palace Museum is Beijing. It is very old. S: Beijing duck is famous and delicious. Y ummy

3, 利用幻灯片复习李明等人的行程。

(利用开放性问题What do you know about Beijing打开学生的思维,,借助幻灯片

复习前面学习的内容、引入今天要去的The Great Wall)

Step2: New lesson

(一)T:(出示长图片) Look, what s this? Do you know this place? What do you know about it? S: The Great Wall is in Beijing.

S: The Great Wall is old.

S.: The Great Wall is long.

S: It is great

T: It is a famous place in China and the world.

Our friends Jenny, Li Ming and Danny want to go to the Great Wall. . But how do they go from their hotel to the Great Wall?

Show the Ss the questions in part3

How old is the great wall?

How long is it? 让学生若着问題去听. 小组分角色朗读,合作解决问题。

知识点解析:far from ,need to, take a bus ,how old ,how long ,thousand.

强调It' s about 2000 years old. About6000 kilometres。(板书重点句型)

(二)T:(出示Jenny, Li Ming and Danny在长城上的图片)Now, they are on the Great Wall. They are talking. How do they feel? We can say Li Ming feels happy. Look at Jenny. How does she feel? Does she feel happy, too?

S: Yes, Jenny is happy. Jenny feels happy, too

T: What about Danny?

S: He doesn’t feel happy. He says, oh, my cap.(出示词卡feel ,happy,sad)

(三)After a long trip , they’re tired.(出示词卡tired) They are on the way back to their hotel. What will happen?

1,出示幻灯片,分析北京城的交通状况,too many cars and buses. 出示交通灯图片,复习单词: stop,wait, go.

播放part2视频,回答问题d, e in part3 Read and find the answers.学生读并找答案。

教学反思

本课选自冀教版小学英语五年级下册Unit 2 In Beijing 的第四课。第一部主人公谈论长城的历史和长度。第二部分讲述Danny 在从长城回来的路上由于不顾交通规则所发生的事。本课通过主要是让学生学会如何用英语谈论长度,学会在城市中行走要遵循的安全规则。本课篇幅不长,图文并茂,但其中包含着丰富的语言信息。

五年级的学生已经有了一定的英语知识基础,具备了一定的逻辑思维能力以及简单的口语表达能力和阅读能力,能借助图片读懂简单的对话,表达情感和进行语言交流。

教学过程中,我鼓励他们大胆地说句子,然后自然过渡地本课的课题,在上新课时,我注重了阅读能力的培养,在讲解新课时,我带领学生听录音整体感知课文内容后,向学生提三个问题让学生带着问题去阅读课文,给学生时间默读课文去寻找问题的答案。这样学生的阅读也更有目的性,在寻答案的过程中也突破的重点,从而理解并掌握了学习内容。总的来说,这节课我关注了学生的情感,充分发挥了学生的主体性,创设民主、轻松愉悦的课堂氛围,学生学习效果较好。教学过程中我还结合教学内容对学生进行了安全和爱国教育。本节课的不足之处是学生的主体地位还没充分凸显出来,只有充分发挥学生的主动性,才能真正做到有效教学。
